I love Glow modifiers. I have the silver to this "beauty dish". I never use the deflector plate outdoors as it takes away about 2 stops of light right out the gate, even before you consider the inner baffle and outer diffuser. Glow modifiers are so easy to set up and break down. Rod modifiers be damned. Oh, and grids don't diffuse light.
Agreed Jason I bought my first one a year ago or so and man Im mad I didnt buy it sooner especially with grids since I tend to like moody lighting on my channel
@@jeffrifkin3603 Oh you certainly can. Yes, that 34" is great for indoor (studio work, etc.) and outdoor shoots! The 30-something inch sizes are probably the most versatile sizes out there! I even have the 25" silver version that I love and will probably get this white version at some point!
Well, when you get it and you see how to set it up, it's pretty easy to see how to break it down. That's the beauty of the Glow EZ Lock line of modifiers - it's not difficult to figure them out! :D
I have the 48 inch ex lock octabox. trying to decide to get the 25 inch or 24 inch of the beauty dish. would the 25 inch be enough for a full body shot. also wanna use outdoors as well as in sutido
Medona Photography The extension head is much lighter than the body of the AD600 so a lot of photographers like using it if their softbox is going to be suspended high in the air. Or if, for instance, you have an assistant handholding the modifier. The extension head is much easier to carry with the modifier for any length of time than the full weight of the AD600 plus the softbox.
Well done! Clear, concise, easy to follow along
Great to see another brother on the Tube talking photography
Great show of the beauty dish. I just ordered one from Amazon right before watching this video.can’t wait for it to get here.
GOD BLESS YOU MAN 🙏🏾👨🏾💻🎥

Great presentation Bro

Thanks for making the video I am thinking of buying this soft box but was wondering if it’s too big for me.
I keep my deflector in the soft box when I take it down- no problem.
great tip!

which is better of this ez glow, collapsible or deep parabolic ??
It does depend but i have a deep parabolic that is collapsible and I live it . I use it the most on my channel with my godox ad300 pro strobe
Good video J. Do you have any sample portraits?
Do you need to add on the deflector plate? or is that optional?
Are the rods plastic or metal?
What brand light is that?
I'd be tempted to not use the deflector plate and just leave both diffusers fully attached during knock-down.
Great video! Now get that battery in the smoke detector changed ;)
Just wondering why you would by AD600 and again buy the extension thingi
