The Hungarians are to a large extent Ugric-Finno-Ugric, but they acquired their Turkish cultural roots from the Avars and Polovtsians (Cumans) Also, in my opinion, the Finno-Ugric family is more similar to the Indo-European family, because the proto-speakers lived in similar times, about 4000-3500 years before Christ, the free border between the Ugric-Finns was destroyed by the Turks, Huns, Avars, settling and leaving the Slavs alone with the "ugres". in my opinion, the Ugric-Finns have little to do with the Turks and Mongols in simple terms
