I Just ended 3 months in a work environment that was like "Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol" where everything that could go wrong did but our small team pulled through it with great success in the end. A few years ago we did have an emergency ambulance worker working with us who went into the hospital a few times because he could not handle the stress in our work environment and he finally had to quit. I had to keep from freaking out this year like the Princess in this reading. We have her in our life as another person who creates tower moments and seeks deep punishment/revenge towards family members who disappoint her. I now realize that that is why she is in our life---to remind us to fight against this type of reacting.

Depending on the size of slope , digging a swale may help to divert the water from the foundation if you don’t want to spend money investing in a sump pump or French drain . Dig trench outside house you can fill it with pvc pipe with holes every 3-6 inches on the top fill with aggregate to keep pipe from moving and that should greatly help to prevent excess water from entering your basement, vapor seal interior of walls /windows!

Multiple things….,,.laid off by someone I trusted, my water heater hose busted and flooded the garage ( thank god it wasn’t the unit), panicked and thought quickly, then the garage door stopper closing due to mechanism glitch, then other obstacles surfaced. I had to react, but stayed calm. Back to true north.

Sandbags for immediate relief to hold off ingress. Get some large dehumidifier fans into the flooded rooms, once all water's gone, get dryers in and then have damp levels checked. Your home insurance may cover all this work, check your policy. Good luck.

I feel your pain, after years of living here we were finally able to afford to fix our dilapidated inground back porch, not realizing the change would allow more rain to come in. Well, 2” of rain in an hour we were bailing buckets out, thankfully stopping it from coming into the house (the room with all the guitars!) I don’t say I live on Long Island anymore, I just say I live on a boat.
