Amy, your haircut, color and finish looks gorgeous. I like the upside down ponytail technique to cut your hair. Fun fact, I've been coloring my hair and cutting my hair in layers for about 20 years. I've been able to master the layers free hand by cutting down at an angle around the crown but this technique including your tip to cut straight up in between to eliminate the choppiness is a game changer. I'm actually coloring my hair before the new year and in desperate need of a cut. My hair is juust as long as yours was. I'm going to attempt it. TFS Girl. Hope you're having a great end to the new year 🤗🫶🏽💇🏽♀️
I’ve been wanting a haircut but just cannot afford it right now so when I saw this video upload I had to watch it! Your hair looks great, Amy! Can’t wait to try it myself thank you
Yesss haircuts can be so pricey especially if you’re also getting it coloured and styled. It can easily be a couple hundred. This cost me less than $40 CAD 🫶🏼
Watch Brad mando for any hair cutting tips he will have u covered girl coloring bleaching trims everything. But I’ve watched u for years now ur hair is growing a lot since then a lot ❤❤❤
Hi Amy! Cosmetologist here . The wella line you use is just warm even the ash tones . See if you can get the brand kenra if you have a P.O. Box I can send it to you. They have to coolest brunette shades I have used . Redken makes a brunette conditioner that is blue and works amazing it’s so good it will cool down the color your have now . Also matrix makes a line for brunettes and the mask is very good for cooling down the hair. Lastly do you have a shower water purifier ? Really that’s number one as metals minerals in water often change the color to warmer . ❤ if I can send some double ash kenra to you I’m happy to do so ❤
That’s what I figured!! I’ve had a few people telling me that the matrix colours are really nice and cool as well? I would feel too bad asking you to send me Kenra because I don’t want you to spend the money 😭 I actually just got a shower filter a few days ago, so I’m very excited to see if I notice a difference!
@@AmyMacedo the shower will make a big difference . I find Matrix runs warm too. I like things much cooler then most . But Schwartzkopf pro did come out with a new line in the Igora collection and the cool tones are beautiful .
Have you tried a gloss on your hair? I use the Kristin Ess Signature Hair Gloss and it's AMAZING. I use either "chocolate cosmo" for a warm brown or "bittersweet" for a neutral/darker brown! :)
Amy this was not the time to inspire me to cut my own hair 😂😂 I’m lucky I don’t have any good scissors in the house or else I’d be getting up and doing this right now😅😅😅😅
@@AmyMacedo I understand your an influencer but this level of influence is crossing the line LOOOLLL😂😂 also the scary part is, you made it look easy for my toxic trait is thinking I can achieve this bahahahahah
When it comes to hair color, it’s pretty hard to find non toxic options that work well so I’m not restrictive with that. Especially since I only colour my hair once every 6-8 weeks so I don’t find it a big deal. I’m mostly focussed on the products that I am using weekly and daily.
Purple shampoo or toner. They both can remove brassy redness and create a cool tone If you get a toner - go for a ash color that’s cool Shimmering lights is a good brand Only get the shampoo You don’t need the conditioner
Goodness Amy your hair is beautiful! You are so brave to cut your own hair. And you cut it like you are a hairdresser!
Aw thank you 🫶🏼

Love how it came out! Where did you get your rollers from I’ve been trying to get my hands on some that aren’t velcro
Mine are Velcro! Amazon has foam ones and I have them but honestly, I find the Velcro works better

Hey Amy! Use a medium ASH brown color next time! Ash cancels out red! 😊❤️
But this was an ash color 😭

So that I knew how much developer to add! Thank you 🥰

Question for you? Have you lessened your restrictions on non toxic products? Did you apply this to hair products? I’m looking for recommendations!

I want to do this haircut on myself so bad but I'm scared I'll screw it up!! 😅
It’s honestly sooo easy! This was my first time doing a layered cut on myself!

Shimmering lights is a good brand
Only get the shampoo
You don’t need the conditioner
Purple works on blondes but not much on brunettes or hair this dark 😭
@@AmyMacedo get a blue or green shampoo, like the Redken for brunettes or Matrix 😇
❤❤❤
Hiiii ❤️
What colour did you use ?
Wella 5A!
Where is the tiktok info to who u got these tips from???
Her name is “Noor” on TikTok 🫶🏼
Try washing your hair downward so that the day doesn't touch your body and your houha
Good tip lol
Why did you tell us it was your natural hair color?
Because it was. At one point I was only coloring my roots. Check previous videos to catch up ❤️
Ohhhh like for grey?
@@baby8314no, to match the rest of her hair.
@@baby8314hair grows from the scalp and grows a completely different color than the processed colored hair. So, that’s why she colored the roots.
