I turn my gas off and let it run out every time because of the gas today. You're the only one ive seen use the rolling cultivators with success. I bought a supply of the bars from long to very short. Seems like different pieces of equipment takes different length bars. The cuffs i bought from Agri supply the bolts all broke because they were cast. I bought a supply from Brandon and they have worked perfectly. Oh yeah great looking garlic. We will be digging our potatoes very soon.
I spent several hours yesterday afternoon re-doing my rolling cultivators. I finally realized that the end of the knurled shaft that bolts to the cultivator should face the rear, same side as the rock guards. I cleaned the clamps and shafts with a wire brush on a 4 1/2" grinder, then bolted them up tight. I got everything mounted and went to back out of the shop and they only have about 1/2" of ground clearance. The shop has about a 6" concrete slab and about a 2 foot ramp going up from ground level. When I started down the ramp with the rear tires, the cultivators started contacting the concrete slab. There is no way to get down the slab without breaking the tines off of the cultivators. Been thinking about it all night and this morning and it just occurred to me to get a couple of 2x6's about 6-8 feet long and make a ramp. Hopefully problem solved.
I just watched a different video of Joeys, and it shows the rock guards almost facing straight up. Looks like I need to roll my square bar in the clamp 90* further forward so that the knurled shaft is almost straight up and down also. That might give me a little more ground clearance also.
I bought a roll of woven like a fish net off Amazon last year to run my cucumbers up on and it works fantastic. No more bending over to pick them. Just looked it up and it’s called Trellis Netting. I bought a small one last year and loved it so later in the year I bought a big roll of it .
I've done that way also . I have help setting them up so it would be easier for u . Both of us have bad backs and the 16 foot panels work well just heavy to put up .
Thanks for taking the time to show us what you do. Looks like you have a great climate for growing crops outside. Alot of the crops you have mentioned grow better undercover here in the UK. All the best 🇬🇧.
Got the 70 acres baled yesterday, only got 46 five and half foot bales.. Just got back from dialysis, going to go try cleaning the clamps on the cultivators as soon as I study your Cultivator set-up video again. I've watched all the others probably a dozen times or more and still did it wrong. Plan on making a video of how not to do it to avoid what happened to me. Thanks Joey, Tasha, William, Elliott, and Sammy. God Bless
@@Paulford369 I know how you feel. Thought I had it figured out and back to watch it again. Be extremely careful how you set them up. My left cultivator fell out last week and went under the rear tire. Tractor threw me off the right side and landed on the top of my head on the gravel driveway. Could have easily broken my neck and killed or paralyzed me. Still here by the Grace of God

Them rolling cultivators are the hardest things to put on sometimes . And boy do you have to be careful not to drop one on yourself lol . Ive started just changing out the tool bar like the manual has you to do and then you can leave them on without having to set them every time .
Hey Matt There a finger getter for sure. I have a set that has tines as tall as the rock guard and I’ve never used them bout half scared to roll them around the will pinch you quick.
Your stuff looks good Joey and the Super A looks good with those rolling cultivators. The steering wheel for the 100 and 130 will probably fit on the Super A and looks the same only larger diameter.
On the subject of rebuilding Lilliston's. I was able to locate bearings for 3/4 shaft units but have had no luck in finding the flanges. Know of a good source? Mine are beyond trying to save.
I think agri has them but there extremely hard to find them on there page. I was there about 2 years ago and seen some. My five gang could use some there 3/4 also. 15/16 is the other size.
@@JtwesI bought a 6 row lilliston and for some reason all of the left hand gangs are 3/4 shaft and all the right hand gangs are 15/16. My guess is it was parted together at some point in time. O well, a guy can’t gripe to much after only giving $100 for the whole rig.
@@Jtwes After many hours of looking I was able to find Timken 204GGB is a direct replacement for 3/4 bearings. Now I have to find the flanges and seal guards.
Another great video! Struggling with getting my second set of cultivators set up and dialed in. My first set is a different design. You make it look so easy. God Bless.
I really do like those tractors. But my 1at was a 3 point. And now the 2nd one is as well. It seems a little easier to hook and go lol Thanks for the Vid 😇🙏👍
I hooked my cultivators up a little bit different than you did…. Still worked ok though. I’m certainly a fan of testing them out on an empty row vs tearing something up on the first pass 😂
You have to keep in mind the deer has to eat to.😂 I planted my peas twice because of deer squirrels cut my ears of corn and totes it off problems you have to be a garner.
But those folks also need to realize it's not just that plate but the size gears on the planter as well that get you the spacing you end up with . But I would think if the person is asking what plate you used they also would realize that as well 😂.

Thank You Danny. I’ll be honest if my garlic gets a pass from you I feel like I’ve made it. It takes years of practice with those rolling cultivators.
I just put the rolling cultivators on my 140 today. Mine don't fit the way I would like. I'm glad to see you illustrate. I need the help.
Hey Harvey
They can be a little testy at times for sure. I could have done it quicker if I was on the gravel.
It worked well ! Enjoyed watching!
Thanks Bro Scott. Got some Silver Queen coming up good. Checked the Hastings today and it’s just cracking the kernel with a root.

Helping that guy with his garden and learning the 140 would be a good video ..
We did get to help him but it didn’t work out to film.
Haven’t seen cultivators like that, cool!
Thank You sir. Wait till you see them in action there pretty awesome.
what about landmines they will take care of crows and deer!
I thought you were a circus worker.
Where do you get your seeder plates?
Thanks!
Hey Jared
Burch store Tractors or eBay .

How do you do that? I hate putting those rolling cultivators on as well.
I turned over all the raised beds in my backyard and planted 26 tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. I feel like an old tractor!! God Bless.
Goodness James. Although I know how you feel I’ve done that with a few spots before around Moma’s house.

Nice video Joey. I have some extra plates I can give you some if you need them. Take care and I hope you have a great weekend.
Yes sir we always like extras. lol Thanks Bart
peaches should be ok. they are off the ground with leaves
I love the set up of the rolling cultivators. That short shaft makes it look simpler and easier.
Indeed.
I’m guessing your fuel problem is the float valve. I have had good luck finding carburetor parts on EBay for my older motors.
Hey Pat. I’m sure we can rebuild it I just need to take the time to do it.

The agrisupply wedge bolts are horrible with the farmall cups. They are to big. I got a set of six so I'm going to try to cut a set down.
I’m pretty sure Brandon’s fit like the IH ones.
Good job Joey and Sam!

My whole childhood spent messing with those mushroom cuff bolts. I knew I was going to find a better way. Lol
