I think they also switch them off to keep car from using more battery than it should. If the door is open and shut constantly and so on its one less thing to worry about by just simply switching them off.

Usually switch them off to scan the car. It’s recommended to switch all ancillaries off while scanning/coding etc.

My dads S3 (18 plate) also had that water leak issue. Weirdly it went away and never came back? Multiple people checked it with no one working it out!

I'm a mechanic and I turn them off just to stop the battery being drained more than needs be when doing work
That's not what a standard stage 2 sounds like, the rice krispie map is an add on, usually via a checkbox marked "chav mode" 😋 Hope the cats are removed or at least moved further downstream, if the stock ones are still fitted then say goodbye to them soon.

How did the women buy the car in that state? Is it not checked first/ driven?
S3s are a headache … run not (coil packs go) .. oil temp between 105-120 is acceptable…. 1lt oil top up every 2k miles…. S3s just run hot in general .. prone issues around thermostat and housing…

Every video has the same hate comments, you need to understand what a trade seller is. I’d bet you’d get more after sale support from Calvin than you would from most trade sellers too.
Why not ask you if you wanted to buy new and offer if you want to swop spring's and top mounts why that's doubled his own work if he has done and most garages drive it to see if it's leaking water under pressure I've got to say an airlock lol keep eye Mr bet he's charged you for extra work on shocks

At the risk of being chastised…I do have some sympathy for honest car dealers nowadays…im in my 40’s and I * think * I’m of the generation whereby you pay your money and take your chances…and if your that scared, get a warranty….that’s not always been the best of attitudes to have (tdv8 Range Rover springs to mind…), but hey, c’est la vie!
