You can manufacture Grunil from a workshop in Altinova (building 5-8). Even Grunil you buy from the market does not require stacks below +12. The *maximum stacks* (which you only use if you are *buying* Grunil off the market) are: 1 -> +12, 5 -> +13,+14,+15, 12 -> PRI, 13 -> DUO, 28 -> TRI, 40 -> TET, 74 -> PEN. You can use lower stacks if you manufacture the Grunil.
I noticed this in the 2nd or 3rd episode, was unaware that you can manufacture it in Altinova, also was unaware that there's a small % chance it produces an Ultimate version of grunil!
It is technically a catch up mechanic, by me using it I don’t have to worry about enhancing that piece from base -> V But like I mentioned in my rules this is the only piece of gear that I’ll allow myself because I need to do the magnus for universal storage, LOML, and our magnus ability
I personally feel like having a Value pack, Kama blessing, Book active ruins the integrity of the challenge. Same reason why I won't accept the free t9 horse or free TET blackstar. I'll only allow the value pack etc if it's automatically applied to my account through event / login reward

I will not be accepting the free TET blackstar on this account, I know that I'm pick and choosing as to what I will and will not accept through rewards, but that's just how I want to play on this account. I feel as though accepting the Free T9 Horse, and the TET Blackstar just isn't in the spirit of the challenge and will ruin the integrity of the account. Only reason why I'm accepting the free V through the Magnus is because I HAVE to complete it for the universal storage, Magnus skill, and access to LOML. @@north_borne
Enjoying the series but I dont get why you would toss the value pack. You obtained it via quest reward by naturally playing the game. So it wouldn't violate your own rules.
Just don't feel like it's in the integrity of the challenge to use a value pack, you're right that it doesn't violate rules but felt it's okay to just no use one
