- “There are a lot of challenges in life, but even if everything is going well, there is that feeling that you are alone-that no one really knows you or your struggles. I have always loved this short scripture from the Book of Mormon where Nephi declares, ‘I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell’ (2 Nephi 33:6).
“It’s just those two simple words-‘my Jesus’-that resonate with me. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, but He is also my Savior. He knows me. He knows my struggles. He knows how to help.
“And any person in the world can say that He is ‘my Jesus.’ He is always there for you in your life. There is always someone who knows you. Someone who understands.” -Casey

It is possible as he’s god and therefore the purest energy from our creation and for that reason is impossible for him to feel resentment towards that the call him his Jesus

Yes. This always brought these thoughts and feelings to me:
Because of his faith and unshakable trust in Him, Nephi had a truly personal relationship with the Lord...and vice-versa.
This verse also reminds me of the Psalms of David, in which a very close and personal relationship with the Lord is also depicted.
It reminds me of my own relationship with deity. Never am I really alone. I couldn't imagine my life without Heavenly Father and Jesus in it. I'm 53, going on 54, and I doubt it will ever change. 🥹
