We the Gilgiti may have our own grievances against Pakistani govt but no way we will allow India to poke its nose here, everyday they kill muslims in india for eating beef, they regulary bulldozed Muslims houses. Yes, we do share common traits with China, Tajikistan and Afghanistan and we are one. Thank you for highlighting our history.

Awesome vlog Laura, thoroughly absorbing. You obviously spent some time researching and that's admirable. Looking forward to further uploads Best wishes
Thank you 🤗 While I definitely see your point of view when it comes to talking about internal affairs, and I did carefuly consider whether I should include this in the video or not, I think it's okay as long as the topic, which I know is very controversial, is handled delicatedly and in a way that isn't provoking or confrontational. I 100% think it would have been wrong to meddle, state my opinion (which is irrelevant and not needed) or act in a paternalistic way telling people what to do politically. But I don't think it's wrong to simply state that a situation exists (explaining claims different countries have made publicly and reasons that geography analysts also widely agree on) as long as again, the topic is handled carefuly. I hope you can see this point if view as well and know that I didn't talk about this situation mindlessly or without consideration.
keep ignoring all the negative comments and keep doing what you love what gives you happiness - your videos maybe making someone day out there 😀 so keep going ... your interest in history fascinates me really never saw someone describing these areas beautifully ..
Yes! I do everything in my videos myself (videography, scripting, narrating, editing, SEO, etc) I'm still learning and I have a lot to improve, but I'm happy with my progress so far 🤗 By the way, I only use my phone to film. I use the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, it's a great phone
@@lauraabornstein Thanks Laura for the clarification. Informative Video Super Like 👍🏻 Needs some improvement in 📽️ Film Making as a viewer its my review don't get offended i love you work but i want few improvements as a viewer those improvements will please my ears and eyes i hope you understand 🥰
Thank you! And don't worry, I'm not offended 🤗 I appreciate that you deliver constructive critisism in a kind and respectful manner 😊 and I 100% agree with you, my videos need a lot of improvement. I'm still very new to vlogging and relatively new to TH-cam, so I'm still learning. And I'm currently using my phone to film which, although I love this phone, it's not the same as a proper video camera. I'm planning to upgrade to a vlogging camera, but I don't have the funds for that yet. Honestly, the next few videos you see will have few improvements, but long term you will see lots of high quality videos so I hope you stick around until then 🤗
well Laura, without being disrespectful or abusive, I would like you to advise that its better not to poke your nose in a country political or internal matters, but if you can't survive without that, atleast try to be neutral and reasonable. beautiful videography though
I totally understand your point of view, and I appreciate that you expressed it kindly. Trust me, I debated a lot whether I should include the recent political history of Hunza in my video, and I asked friends and family members if they thought it was okay to post. In the end I decided to go with it because I do believe it's important to understand Hunza, and what was important to me is that I talked about it in a way that wasn't polarizing. I of course understand that this topic is very controversial, but personally I don't think that we should avoid talking about controversial issues, instead we should talk about such issues and treat the topic with care. I do think I was neutral when talking about the recent political situation (I never mention any opinions, including my own. I limit myself to mentioning statements that have already been made) and I clearly say that I respect both countries and that I do not support any sort of h@t3 towards any country. Lastly, I don't think this can be considered meddling or poking my nose into another countries affairs, since I never express my own opinions (I don't think they're needed) I don't tell anyone what to do other than not h@t3 on each other in my comment section, and again, I limit myself to talking about statements that have already been made.
Xinjiang is currently a part of China. I understand that is controversial, but since it is currently part of the country and regarded as such by the UN, I refer to it as part of China
Before 1947 there are around 500 princely states in Indian sub continent. They were autonomous and kind of independent but need to give taxes to british govt. After british left, India occupied all those princely states. Please read princely states of British Raj. You will get to know all these issues.
Thank you for this information. I definitely didn't know much about history in this part of the world before I travelled here, and I didn't realize all these valleys had so much autonony. I'll definitely read up on it
@@Itz_Rahaman1No, I never post conversations or videos of people without their permission. Even though I did interact with locals, I didn't have permission to post. Videos showing people are generally much more sensitive and difficult to make
@@Itz_Rahaman1Yes, but other TH-camr's situations might be different. Bear in mind that I'm still a very small TH-camr with a very small channel. Doing interviews or videos showing people in an ethical way and with permission usually requires payment, and while I have some videos like that (for example my videos about the Maasai from Kenya and Tanzania and Mto wa Mbu from Tanzania) I don't always have the budget to do that. And there are of course those who show people without their permission or payment, which is not a good thing to do in my opinion. I definitely agree with you that including a few interviews would have made this video better, and I do hope to make more videos like that in the future, but it simply wasn't possible for this video
