Ahoy everyone!
My name is Nike and I have been living and sailing on my sailboat Karl since 2013. After a massive refit marathon, I finally cast off the lines and learnt to solo sail my 37-foot Reinke Super 10 that I called "Karl". I am publishing videos (at the moment every two weeks) about the ups and downs of living, repairing and sailing my boat.
Since January 2022, I have a new permanent crew member: my furry friend Boga. When I started out, I did not know much about boat repair or solo sailing. Since I am still out there, I hope that my story inspires others, to chase their dreams, even if they might think they are not cut out for it. There is always a way, so I'll see you out there!

I've been following you for several years; thanks for the countless hours of great videos. I love the Inmocean initiative. Watching this episode, while you kept saying earrings and jewelry, I kept seeing guitar picks! Perhaps with very little tooling you could broaden your demographic sales and offer some very colorful (and meaningful) guitar picks. Or even guitar pick necklaces.
...just a thought and thanks again for all your efforts.

Well done. Hard enough to get dreams into realization living on land, let alone while travelling. I yearn to go to sea again, but owning a property can be its own anchor. Good memories never fade though.....

Paul is Swiss and yes he has already applied for residency. It’s a bit lengthy but not so complicated

Hi there in paradise. Due to the upcoming VDES, some changes have been made to the Maritime Radio Act since the beginning of 2024. Some Channels are no longer allowed to use. The older versions of the Radios will not automatically skip these.
IMO (The International Maritime Organization) must had wrote something about that.

@@charonstyxferryman The IMO has 10 articles on this, but they are not that precise. Really confusing! It appears to start in 2024, but not in all countries at the same time. It's bad and seems to be profit-oriented for the manufacturer.

About the clickboat and being truthful: If you look at the title, it says "scoping out a place to settle down" and nothing about me being the one that is going to settle down. So in my opinion there was nothing untruthful about this...But yes, it did leave room for assumptions, I do agree on that :). The video did show what I was stating it would, though...Would you have preferred that it was me settling down? ;)

Hi Michael, the title of this TH-cam Series is "Untie The Lines" and it`s about casting off the lines in a literal but also figurative way. It`s about chasing dreams, exploring ways to mold my life into a way that it makes me happy. I do live and travel on a sailboat. But this channel is not soley about sailing, no. There are a lot of channels out there that purely focus on sailing. If that`s what you are looking for, then I am sure you will find something suitable here. On my channel, you will also find other topics that are part of my life such as fighting plastic pollution, friends that I make along the way, or just exploring this wonderful planet. Fair winds to you!

..that give advice. But if you want people to look at the jewley.. stop putting them on such gorgeous beautiful models.. because when we look ,,, all we see is the beautiful models and we forget to look at the jewelry..

I hope Paul has considered what effects global warming and sea level rise will have on his new home.
I'm guessing that your criteria for a place to settle down isn't going to include being near a U-Bahnstation, supermarket, shops, cinema, bars and clubs.
Maybe that is why his home is floating.
Those white barrels have a short life span in the sun, about 3 years.
