I came here because I saw a clip of this interview on Tiktok a couple days ago…. And I immediately knew Speedy was going to have his hands full with Vince because he doesn’t think or act like a lot of young rappers. And it was an awkward but delightful conversation.
This a instant like. Vince is the greatest interview. Never disappoints. Netflix need to quit playing and cut the man a check so we can get the Vince Staples Show.
Vince ate this young man's questions up and threw them right back at him. I don't know if he's ever encountered someone who thinks and speaks for himself totally. Vince always keep it a buck!

This is my first time watching a Vince staples interview, and let me just say I am not disappointed at all. This man is not only intelligent but hasn’t let money control him/ his actions. Staying true to himself.
It’s so reassuring to hear someone else be open about not “living and breathing” one particular artistic medium or niche. I’ve felt like I’m “all over the place” since I can remember and not particularly attached to one thing and I’ve always perceived that as a flaw, that I’m supposed to buckle down and master one (or a couple) of skills that are going to lead me to some higher purpose. Maybe it’s okay to just explore and be…
It’s more than okay to explore different mediums and ways to do art forms you’re interested in. Me personally, i “live and breathe” hip hop, it’s my core and will always be my center. But making other forms of music and writing about other things is really cathartic.
mhm! Also, bc you are familiar with the different processes you can integrate the different tools to help execute your ideas. For me, I use CAD which I learned in uni for Engineering to make stuff that I throw into Blender 3D, which I use to make visuals for beats I made in Ableton. Tools and mediums are just a means of executing your ideas and seeing how compatible they are with each other is fun and freeing :) @@realonereal1

The host seems like so entertained by Vince. But this dude is serious about the music business and probably been played before by music the business and he’s serious about his life and every move he makes.
Saw him open for Tyler in Denver and I loved his set! Did a great job of hyping up the crowd and being the set up man when he easily could headline a tour with supports of his own. Great interview with beautiful insight and honest observation.

I feel like his blunt humour is taking the interviewer completely off guard. I absolutely love everything about this interview.
