A usb3 usbc cable isn't cheap, especially if it supported 4k60hz. Its not 'this' expensive, but here you're also paying for asthetics and custom hardware@@robertmaxey5406
For multiple fast charging, modular, coiled, braided, durable cables, and indicator lights and some accessories, 100$ is not that unreasonable. If you are looking for a cable that has every single one of these features it's going to cost more than your average cable. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm pretty sure there is a market for cables of this quality.
Interesting product idea. All I can think of with the coiled cable though is how irritating it would be to have your cable constantly pulling on whatever you're using (ipad, iPhone, MacBook). The resistance may not be much, but that constant pulling seems like it would get old pretty fast, and probably wouldn't be very good on the ports it's plugged into. But maybe the whole intent is to use it purely as an extender, where it hopefully won't be putting tension on the device anyway.
Agreed. Moreover the whole thing is sort of plannend obsolescence; almost all devices, even Apple’s, charge with USB C. iPhone and iPad will likely switch this year. Of course not everyone immediately has the latest Apple stuff, but in a few years lightning connector is just a relic like the 30 pin is now. Now the cable is nothing more than an expensive extension cord. Of course the color scheme is also quite taste sensitive, it really does not blend in subtle in its surroundings, let’s put it that way. Just buy a couple high quality USB C cables of like 3 lengths, and 1-2 GaN chargers (I would suggest 1 high power multi port for home/travel and 1 small one you trow in your bag), and you’re set.
@@davidbelecci6970 couldn't agree more, this seems like a dumb expensive idea that can be easily replaced with other high quality cables, definitely a pass for me on this product. Plus, coiled cables are not being used as they did way back because they're unpractical as hell

Each mini cable has a led built in which indicates, green when it’s not charging, blue for normal charging and yellow for super fast charging over 15w. It’s great in the dark , you can easily see the end of your cable and plug it in and see immediately if it’s charging at max speed. Can’t see how the presenter missed this feature. I absolutely love these cables. I’m not paid to use them and paid for both my units.
These cables violates the USB-C product specifications. I can see manufacturers, voiding your warranty by using a cable like this. Data transfer with this cable. Probably not or USB 2 speeds data transfer speeds. Does it go over 3A? If so, it could damage your equipment.
Short version. It removes safety features of USB-C. The charger is not able to read multiple e-mark chips. If you connect a cheap cable that only supports 20 W use an extension and put 240 W through , could cause a fire. The reversibility of the USB-C cable relies on two pins. An extension prevents this from working. There is a reason only the tiny end is MFI certified. Even Apple doesn’t like extensions. A longer cable will also cause power drop resulting in charging problems.
@@KaelCan USB cables are passive, just copper wire. There is nothing in the USB-C specification that requires a specific watt rating of a cable. You would need a 50+ foot cable before you have "charging problems", it would just charge slower.
The cable claims to transport up to 240 watts, which is only possible with the power delivery protocol. The PD protocol requires active circuitry in all participating components - the PSU, the device receiving the power AND the cable.

Glad Europe is forcing Apple into getting rid of the annoying lightening cable, which never made sense based on speed limitations and USB-C smoking it, especially the fact that Apple has 4 different dag on variations of speeds of Thunderbolt cables over the years... Yes, but they don’t cost 209 for the cheap one. I know I can buy the apple ones and they last for years and I’ve never ever going out of my way to say you know what that’s been 209 for a cable now if it recharged my watch, my MacBook my phone as well as my iPad and I had some cool wireless charging features as well as some other stuff that came with it that I might see spending 209, but I really don’t see spending 209 for that cable just because a curls up and you can put it together and do a few tricks. Yes, you said that it it charges fast but the other problem is if it’s not worn if it’s like not an apple product or Apple recognizes that third product. Your warranty is out of service that means even if you’re in the year warranty or even if you paid for the three year warranty, and I found out that you were using that Pacific kind of charger and it wasn’t covered why your warranty is no longer valid I don’t like that it only comes with four cables to extension. I’m not sure how these cables would have to last for years to validate the price they would have to give like a lifetime warranty, but all sorts of other stuff for anybody to be like you know this is worth the price.
No it doesn't. You're probably looking at the total amount pledged, which is $213,112 now and probably was around $209K when you clicked on it. That's not the price of the products. Click on back this project and you'll see the price.

All they need is a digital display showing the wattage and it'd be perfect!
Your pure excitement when you present this cable is over the Top! Thanks Patrick!
Thanks!
Hello buddy, i jest bought this set of cables such as great as you mentioned, thanks for the video, Now I am in love with your ipad yellow skin, Where can I find it? thanks in advance.
The cables look awesome, do they have different color options? Or is yellow it? I hate the color yellow
I don't think they have different colors (for the time being at least). With that said, yellow is the GOAT so we can't be friends 😅
Cool, so true, we should only convert the tips with small adapters. Aukey I read is a german company that went to Shenzhen, China, making it more trustworthy when it comes to consumer data and claims + standards/protocols.
God bless.
i’ve bought the 65W type c charger and let me tell you!!!!!that was theee best charger i’ve ever bought and used it’s super PD and i’ve used a plethora of chargers and cables and this brand is definitely using some voodoo smh definitely top notch and for the ppl who type bullcrap but yet don’t buy for themselves it’s best to research for yourself before you make a final judgement
I like a more simple cable. I can’t wait for everything to be USB-C
Me and you both.
What’s the company? Spelling?
Still doesn’t solve the no headphone port issue for us musicians. I need a headphone jack, with usb a, and a way to charge the iPad. Any recommendations?
That's an iPad/iPhone problem. A dongle is the only way to mitigate that.
Welp, you made me want a cable
Haha (link in description 😇😂)
Yeah last cable you'll ever need until USB D E F G
What in the world. This is an interesting kit. Apple needs to adapt something like this with all of the changes they make to cables you need for every dag on device. Glad Europe is forcing Apple into getting rid of the annoying lightening cable, which never made sense based on speed limitations and USB-C smoking it, especially the fact that Apple has 4 different dag on variations of speeds of Thunderbolt cables over the years... This cable is thick. *TWSS* I'm considering it for the truck though... Cool share.
to be fair, lightning came out when micro USB was the standard, not USB-C
Cool product. Hope they consider a black or gray variant.
Your videos are top quality and just plain sincere and honest. Rare quality with TH-cam reviewers nowadays. Got a new sub here. Cheers.
P.S.: you look like the guy who does the Chevy parody videos if “real people” were real life. Zebra Corner guy.
All I see is Kickstarter lost too much money to these deals. Stick to Anker
You can’t charge the watch and that’s the same amount of cables anyway.
Hey ! What is your yellow skin for ipad ? Thanks !!
What was the name of charging cable?
Aohi. There’s a link in the description
Trusting our intuition often saves us from disaster.
You bring it every time and don’t disappoint, I’m excited about this kit it’s awesome love the color and especially the functionality of all the cables I will be definitely be getting one much thanks
Thank you Jeff, appreciate the kind words!
Coolest compassionate person ever invented in history clearly 😮😅😅😅😅😅
Love seeing apple fans get excited about coil cables in 2023
Here to serve 😅
Is ther a mini hdmi to usb capability?
I love a new cable solution. I take pride in my cables and having the best on hand. I try to be a minimalist with my travel cable/power solutions. I will have to look into this one. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Steve!
Yea, for now. As soon as these companies update and upgrade to a new charging connector, you will need another cable and this cable will no longer be the end all cable.
Obviously.
What Bluetooth keyboard are you using
Logitech MX mechanical mini.
Like it, but I am not gonna buy it from Kickstarter because I was scammed 🙃
I get that.
Price is $209
Price is $89.
@@PatrickRambles oops lol I was looking at the new years offer. The ond that is 3 sets. For some reason that was the first option that appeared when I looked.
You're not the only one 😅.
But the problem is still, you see-
The mystery issue, of why iPads that are brand new will all the sudden favor, by favor I mean will ONLY work with) for a period of time, then suddenly won’t charge with that cable any, ore, and you’ll have to find one the apple device likes/agrees with.
If it’s mfi compatible it will always work
You guys are acting like this isn't already a thing.... This cable kit is nice, but there have been plenty of custom coiled cables with aviator connectors or LEMO connectors on the market before this set. You could already source all of the same parts and build it yourself. I have two custom cables myself with LEMO connectors. Lol
i prefer the volt2 magnetic adapter
I watched your short last night but I'm glad you posted this video with more detailed info. The kit looks slick and functional (I might go for one with a charger included) but I kept thinking that the coiled cable would yank my phone right off my desk if I wasn't careful. And I'm not always...
Ha! Yes I understand that fear. The longer cable might be better for that. I just love the look of the coiled cable, use it with iPad or keyboards. 😍
Magnetic charges are the future. This is just a yellow coil ccable
I don't understand how so many of you think it costs $209. It's $89.
@@PatrickRambles it says it when you click on it it says 209 and still 89 is pretty expensive
No it doesn't. You're probably looking at the total amount pledged, which is $213,112 now and probably was around $209K when you clicked on it. That's not the price of the products. Click on back this project and you'll see the price.
@@PatrickRambles OK well you started making any other comments about the mayor Fakear Apple does not guarantee this product or has it on their lineup edit anything goes wrong with this wiring say if it shorts and ruins your product you are responsible for amount of that product because if they find out that they were eBay you were not using an Apple product or one that’s a license by them or even a third-party license you will have to do the full coverage of your laptop your iPad or your iPhone a no comment about that and I find that a little unresponsible for someone that’s recommending a charger for a laptop that’s around $2000, 2000 and $3000 just starting price and your phone cost anywhere from that price as well $1000-$2000 for your phone depends how many gigabytes you get but those are things that need to be told to the consumer when they buy such products and still $89 is a bit much now if they had the I watch charger and a lifetime warranty I might validate that $89 but still it’s a bit high and I would rather buy an apple charger that guarantees that if it goes out and will replace that item because of their faulty product and they’ve done it I’ve had a laptop that burnt out because of them and they actually refurbish my laptop gave me a new charger and everything because of their one product that one out but two years ago I gave a phone that had a third-party charge they did not cover it because it was not licensed or even a high recommended by Apple so they said that they would not cover it so you have to be very careful of what charger you get for your device
Sorry, I don’t trust Kickstarter or any other start up. I purchased a backpack two years ago from Kickstarter and never received the backpack or my money back.
I purchased the Aohi 40w fast charger and it gets very hot charging my iPhone 11 and 13 Pro. it does not have MFi, UL, CE or CSA certification. It does have an FCC certification, which I think only covers frequencies emitted from the device, can anyone verify this. I really liked the size and shape of this device but I have not had another charger run this hot before, so I am going to return it. Has anyone else noticed this?
No magnetic USB-C bits with that supposedly high end product..? 🤔🧐
USB-C magnetic tip adaptors or cables are not compliant with the USB specifications.
Interesting cable. I carry 2 cables (usb-c/lightning, usb-c/usb-c)and my Apple Duo wireless charger. The Anker slim 3 port charger along with an Aer mini pouch. Perfect for me.
These cables look appropiate for a car repair shop.
😂
This won't work with next year's iPhone's because they WON'T be usb-C. They will be wireless charging only, as in no cable options whatsoever.
That's just rumors. With the current magsafe charging speeds that's not feasible. Far too slow.
Can it be on a android?
does it come with a combine harvester?
Intro song name?!?!
The Vyper by Suedo
Thanks for that video :) I think the cable is really cool, but holy moly... 89$ is a lot of money for two (or one longer) cable.. For that same amount of money I get a trunk full of cables on Amazon 😅
Shitty cables 😅
I’d just as soon pick up a lifetime Anker cable myself for around 12 bucks, and they’ll replace it if necessary. Not that I have ever asked them to unless they fail within a year. Think I’ve done that exactly once.
Not a shitty option IMO. Despite the euffy dramarama (yep, Anker bought into a company with existing poor security) I still trust Anker cables and chargers.
Is this think connect with type c av adaptor of apple and transfer AV?
I need exactly this kind of system to go with my new AOHI charger! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Magnetic cables solves all the issue, just need 1 magnetic cable,1 adaptor and multiple magnetic recievers for your devices...
Does it support display output
Can we all just agree that, ideally... Products like this don't exist and we all just happily use USB C? One day hopefully...
What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.
What about usb backwards compatibility with usb 3?
Usb 3 is a charging and data standard not a port shape
This looks like a really nice cable(s). I LOVE cables. My wife doesn’t get me with the cable thing though.
I wished the cable was available now, rather than on Kickstarter. I’ve been burned three times over the years from Kickstarter projects taking your money and then never fulfilling their obligation to complete and deliver the product. I’d rather wait until it hits the market and I’ll pay the regular price; which I’m sure will come down in time.
Another great one, Patrick!
Thanks and again, Merry Christmas!
Thanks man and Merry Christmas!
did those cables charge them guns? if they did, i am grab a set 😊
Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world.
Overpriced, overdesigned and bulky cables? Why? Just buy some Xiaomi/baseus/ugreen etc. cables from aliexpress
Sure. Why not order a "smartphone" from there whilst you're at it.
@@PatrickRambles what is that even supposed to mean?
Hello. I love this cable system. Can you give more information on how to order one.
There's a link in the description underneath the video :)
Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.
I honestly have more questions after watching this than beforehand
Fire away
Thanks for the excellent video...pledged base on your recommendation...picked up an Insta360 camera based on your review and it is one of my best pickups of 2022!
I rather just buy a long ass cable for home, a shorter one for the car and the coil one looks annoying as hell always pulling
What's an ass cable?
@@PatrickRambles a long ass cable? A cable thats real long. Are you being serious?
Dose it work for android is my question
Of course, if it's usb C
Yea this is super nice I need to check this out!
As you consider all the possible ways to improve yourself and the world, you notice John Travolta seems fairly unhappy.
Who is buying a set of three USB 2.0 cables for $417? Even with the 50% discount, $209 is still a lot of money for this
Guys, please read the website better. The set is $89.
the prize on the website for only one cable is not $89. It is $139. For three cables it is $417. Both variants are on sale: 50% -> $209 for three, 29% -> $99 for one cable. But still: 139$ for one USB 2 cable? $417 for three USB 2 cables?
i despise apple and want a nice cable like this for my SteelSeries keyboard
mag safe?
Apple releases a new cable type:
Unfortunately Kickstarter is still the Wild West
Snake oil. The Chevy Camaro of device cables.
I don’t care how good it is,… $278 for a charging cable is the most absurd thing I’ve heard in a long time! What???? Even the cheapest “early” prices around $100 is still absurd!
It's not 278. That's the price for a package with a 100W charger etc. When I posted the video, the price was $89 for the exact set shown in the video.
Hey, caught the new video immediately upon release. Got my mojo back!
Great product review, Patrick! This is a must-have!
Yeah! And it’s 100% the perfect gift for a techie.
Are you sure?? What if you use old iPhones?
What if you use a Telegraph 🙄
