Instead of seeing Something lurking behind him as he did in the past, Sunny sees his big sister, squeezing his shoulders with a proud smile on her face.

OMORI’s credits song has never quite hit for me the way it did upon hearing this cover. I hate to admit that I relate to these lyrics so strongly. As I listen to this my mind can’t help but think of someone dearly departed, someone very special to me, who I lost just as Sunny lost Mari. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you for this. 💜
this song reminds me of my mother who passed away on 19th july it's not about bad memories, i can hear her reassuring me from above and telling me everything is going to be fine i can feel her touching me and protecting me from the bad things that happen in this world, even though I can't see her I had a dream last week, that was the first time I've dreamt of her since her death in that dream i wanted to fly away from my family, so a build a pair of wings and stood on the balcony but she blocked me and told me that wasn't the right time so i stayed with my family i'm the type of person who could look for meanings when it comes to have a dream i think i found the meaning, and this songs represent it perfectly

this is insanely good what the heck i saw it only had 289 views so i was like "sure i'll check it out" but damn this hits so hard and is honestly very in character for mari and honestly along the lines of what i'd expect for her to sing to sunny if she were to after the good ending and also the voice acting is insane and the "nostalgic" filter also adds a lot to the video well done indeed 👏 edit: i'm listening to this for a second time and this is so ridiculously in character i love it so much whenever i see omori fanworks my main criteria for judging whether or not they're good is whether or not it would happen in the game on the basis of the narrative and the personalities of each character, and this is literally so in character for mari in every way. and on top of all of that, the audio quality, singing, and atmosphere is top notch. one of my favorite omori fanworks to date.

hi i know i already commented a few times on this video but i was randomly watching it again and i had a pretty awesome realization as to another layer of how good this song is we already know ingame that Mari has forgiven Sunny completely. the narrative plotpoint of forgiveness is more explored and centered around Aubrey, Kel, Hero, and Basil, even though Mari still has a part to play in that. however, this song not only perfectly encapsulates the theme of forgiveness in Omori as well as Mari's character from what we know, it also explores the depths as to how much Mari has forgiven Sunny. while the concept of Sunny murdering his loving older sister is sad and her totally forgiving him for not only killing her but lying about it for 4 years is extremely heartwarming, this song gives such an incredible insight into how she has TRULY forgiven Sunny and continues to comfort him, be beside him, and give him courage. it's already so wholesome knowing Mari forgave him, but this song explores that in SUCH a meaningful way that the game did not portray. probably the last comment i'll make on this video, still can't get over how good it is.
