March 2023 is my 10 year anniversary of doing video. The best advice here you give is SCHEDULE it. People don't care how you look, they care how you make they feel. (Maya Angelou reference). Let's put it into context like this. Do you care what your dentist looks like, ok to be fair, up to a point, clean, not smelly, professional looking. BUT, do you care if your dentist is bald, is blonde or brunette? NO! You care about how they are going to take care of your teeth. Angie from BombBomb at the reHumanize conference explained it like this.... "I had to work through it!" I thought that was the best advice. Working through it means, doing more, trying forward vs failing forward. It means being willing to try. Anyone running a marathon doesn't do it the moment they walk out the front door for the first time. They work their way there. What equipment do you need? Stabilizer/tripod and a good mic. That's it. I've come full circle on equipment and all I use is my phone now. Best advice for anything you want to do, schedule it. Good Luck. Great video Katie
Wow! This video was very helpful. And very timely for me. Today is the day that I am pulling the trigger and starting to record my pillar content. I have been avoiding this due to not knowing exactly what to say. I will be watching this video throughout the day as I flex my recording muscle and work through this. Thanks Katie!😄
