This is a fan-made mod, and it's really great. I played it when it first came out and it was even more difficult, it was updated to be a little more approachable, but it is still hard. If you like the increased difficulty, I can recommend Portal: Reloaded, it adds the 3rd portal Wheatley promised and really ups the difficulty.
I've seen a lot of plays of the _Portal_ games and numerous mods and successors and whatnot, and I haven't seen this. Don't really know why, but that means this is a fresh ride for me so hey. 😀 Incidentally, I was never very good at the actual games. That you beat them is better than I ever did, so hey. 😄 I kind of feel like the post-sleep, not-Cave Johnson might be an A.I., like a proto-GLaDOS. I don't remember anything about _Portal Stories: Mel_ other than it was really popular. Juliette, I took a break from my Skyrim survival mode playthrough and I actually went back and now playing Oblivion. ❤️❤️. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. 😊. Portal Science 😅 Whilst you, and the Cave Johnson stand-in trade fibs - "I will comply with your Rules.", and leave 1952 in a forgotten past, you are back in a world you love. 😍 Right away it is somewhat obvious that this one is a step up from the previous games, so far as difficulty is concerned. So far it seems, mainly, more intricate pathways needed to portal through to achieve the end goal. It easily lends itself to over-thinking the problems, which you discover here, in a couple spots, but it's early days, and you are getting up to speed in the Portal world quickly. Certainly on your way to Winning your freedom from the damaged surroundings. Another game I'd not heard of. And, yes, the intro train ride, with narration, was a great Half-Life/Black-Mesa reference. I too was busily checking the passing figures for any sightings of the Man with a Briefcase, lurking about. 🤨 An entertaining puzzle game, and I am eagerly looking forward to more of your play - fantastic so far, and, with your famous persistence, bound to be successful. Hello Tom 💜😊 I am so excited to be back in the Portal universe! Puzzle games are among my favourite type of games, but this one is definitely a lot harder than the ones I usually reach for... I have no doubt I am going to get A Bit Cranky quite soon 🤭 I really would have loved to have seen the Briefcase Man on the platform, but alas, it wasn't to be. Unless he was very elusive and evaded me (which is likely!) I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, Tom 🥰 I am sorry for my late reply, but I was having a few issues yesterday which ate away at my time (my camera battery kept draining for the first time ever, so I'll have to grab a spare ASAP but Sony, $99 for a tiny battery? WHY?) and then at 3pm I went to tidy up the garden to get it ready for new trees and that was a couple of hours of bending, lifting, and OH BOY am I feeling it today 😑😶 But all is done, so now today might be a bit more restful!
