I just filed for an LLC through ZenBusiness. Overall very solid and would highly recommend because there’s way too much to think about in things like registered agents and operating agreements. Pro tip if you call them you can speak to a “formation specialist” and walk through the application together so you can ask questions as you click through.
As a self starting small business owner it is extremely overwhelming to file paper work without the assistant of an attorney or a good tax person. Until my business is well funded and running, I will be referring to your tutorials. Thank you for shedding light on the various ways to structure a business. Very helpful very informative. Thank you so much for this video. I am starting a little "side hustle" in Texas, making candles, to help pay for school. I have been a little overwhelmed with the final aspects (insurance, LLC or sole proprietorship).
On another TH-cam video they were talking about. Multi members LLC is better than single members. You could use your son or daughter as a second member. It's harder to pierce the corporate veil
Sounds a bit like the Trump Organization. You can't just use relatives who are absentee members. Courts look past cheesy schemes if justice demands it.
A child can't be employed or own real property. Or sign the necessary documents. Won't work. Create a living trust for the child and add the trust as LLC member.
So if I don't make the product- resale for profit, will you still suggest LLC?
If under LLC, unopened products brand new from the supplier, can the court remove the liability protection if anything happens to my client?

Maybe this is in other videos, but how do you determine the amount you need to fully fund your business to keep in your business account? Is it just about overhead or should I reserve a certain amount of the company's revenue?

In theory, you could have a meeting everyday, if you wanted. Or, weekly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually. Just keep Meeting Minutes, so that if a taxing authority decides to audit, you'll have the ability to show that a meeting actually took place.
