Farley Granger who played Sheriff Fraser was a huge star of the 40s-50s starring for Nicholas Ray in "They Live By Night" and Hitchcock in "Rope" and "Strangers On A Train". Lawrence Tierney who played Major Chatham was a cult star of the 40s best known for "Dillinger", but better known for his many arrests during the period. He had a career renaissance in the 80s with his iconic performance in "Tough Guys Don't Dance".
I started watching this reaction yesterday, but had to stop a few minutes in to stream and watch the movie. I don’t think I have ever heard of this movie. Came back to finish it. Another great one!
So happy to see another upload so soon. This movie is pretty brutal. I think it's some of Savini's best work. I remember trying to watch it years ago and thinking it was boring. It definitely deserves a rewatch.
The movie is called Rosemary's Killer in Australia and a slasher with a difference. The killer is not some Psycho or like Jason or Freddy. This is a trained Army solider from WW2 and First Blood comes to mind "You trained us to be killers and you dont just shut it off" He is dressed and acting like it is still WW2 and him vs the Enemy. That alone makes this different then the endless slasher films of it's time.
I saw this with my mom at the drive in as well as many others. I remember the scene where the guy gets stabbed in the top of the head. That was brutal 😮
It's because of this movie the director got the job to direct Friday the 13th part 4 ;) And Tom Savini also did the gore make-up on that movie as well (he also did on the 1st Friday the 13th movie).
@@OriginalPsychoOP you're the 🐐 then ❤️💯 I'm referring to the Toby Hooper remake btw , not the boring 1970's original that nobody remembers but feel free to react to both versions of u like ❤️
