Mitzi studio actually started posting a few funny videos , which are a collection of shorts, so to speak, showing a bit cliché-like how various countries fight wars. And that gave them so much recognition that their channel exploded in popularity.
For those who wonder how can the roads in Belgium be bad : it's deliberate. You can't stop them but you can accelerate the wear and tear, be more than just a speed bump.
My great great uncle fought and died in the battle of Passchendaele in 1917. He was wounded during the battle and was sent to a frontline hospital. Unfortunately for him and many others, his hospital tent got hit by an artillery shell which blew him to pieces
You should totally watch more of their videos, they also vids about WW2, evolution of tanks, evolution of planes, 10 less evil facts about Hitler, and so much more. Been watching them for a good while and honestly, they never disappoint. And I'm saying this as a history geek.
There's more history stuff from Mitsi. There's a video about Nobunaga I think and recent uploads include the history of tanks and history of fighter planes. They're earliest and most iconic videos include how countries fight wars 1 and 2.
6:13 This was way too funny for me. The signpost shows 3 towns: (Kontich, Reet and Aarschot) while stating "they were moving all their shit". Those three towns are called 'The Anal Triangle' (in Dutch: De Anale Driehoek). In Dutch the following words mean: Kont = Ass, Reet is also Ass, Aars is butthole. I think you get the point by now 😆
Issue is a lot of people died after 11/11. I remember a story of one German officer who crossed no man's land to surrender his position to the Americans, he was shot dead. Months after you also have the German sailors who died in Scapa Flow, who's graves were still there, treated as war graves despite the war technically already being over. Lets not forget the Chaos that was Eastern Europe and the Balkans after 11/11 where the war didn't really end until years later.
Mitsi studios are awesome! If you go to their main channel, they have a video dedicated to their backstory which answers a majority of your questions. They basically make these historical videos with barely any regards to political correctness. In regards to their animation style, it's 3D animation while countryballs are 2d animated as a cartoon. Downside it requires them more time to upload content due to the quality of their videos.
nice helmet :p edit @ 3:35 I don't know exactly what program this guy used to model and animate this but it could easily be done in Blender, which is a free program and actually quite good nowadays.
My great grand father was bombed by a zepplin. He wrote in his diary it was the scariest thing he experienced and he survived days long artillery at a time and poison gas. He also survived a mule fitted out with explosives and sent over the lines. Dont laugh apparently the mule killed and wounded 31 men. Well anyway zeppelins were no joke they could drop many bombs on a target.
They have done lots of great videos, you should watch, like ome based around hitler, their first animation i saw was how different countries fight wars
Sadly the missed the part when Ferdinand's wife was also shot, I think she was shot even before he was. If I recall he was crying out for help as his wife was bleeding in his arms. I don't think either were shot in the head. Wasn't a clean execution. Both were very much alive after being shot.
Interesting video, as always. I don't comment often but @MrTerry I wanted to ask you if you've ever played Valiant Hearts, in my opinion one of the most interesting games about WWI, both from the point of view of animanzione and history and more... In short Highly recommended!
About what started the Armenian genocide : muslim populations in the ottoman empire were wary ( to say the least ) about them. Then Germans would seek to galvanize Muslims in British India, French North Africa, and Russian Asia, in addition to all Muslims in the enemies' armies. The call to jihad would go out in their languages. Berlin would create an Oriental News Organization with up to 75 “reading halls” in the Ottoman Empire. Since the war wasn't going their way they searched for an easy scapegoat for their failures : The Armenians.
Nice review!
You guys should do a video about the vetinam war
@@yourlocalfurrybraixen55yes

You need to do Vietnam. It would be fucking hilarious
Brother actually did comment!
"I heard that it started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry."
- Pvt. Baldrick, 1917
i heard it was because it was just too difficult not to have a war
I heard it was because some guys with big mustaches got in a fight
You should react more to Mitsi Studio content it's really neat.
I think the little guys are cool

My dog's a German Shepherd, so I asked her, "got any Valentine's Day plans, Fraulein?" She replied, "I'm not a Fraulein, I'm a Canine!" Smart ass dog.

RIP my boy franz
I'm super late but Mitsi does a lot of videos, from evolution of vehicles to historical figures. It's great stuff.
2:13 the fact he published the route, And went out in public again makes me think he was asking for it.
To be frank, the route was changed to the hospital, just no one thought to tell the guy's driver, and he took the worst turn possible
truly an amazing example about "wrong place wrong time"

Canada should have "its not a war crime first time you do it" on their flag.
I had a feeling they were familiar with the area. They're from Breda, which is right next to the Belgian border. 🙃
