Malaysian here! It's totally fine to have peanut butter/strawberry with roti bom. It's normal for kids (or even some adults) to eat roti with sugar or condensed milk if they can't eat spicy, or if they just feel like it 😆
Your interaction with the little boy and the group of girls was so cute and sweet. Love it! Food looks great too. Brave of you to wear a white tshirt to such a saucy feast!
The rice cube is called nasi himpit or ketupat (wrapped in leaves version). You can also see it on Lontong and from Satay stalls. It can be addictive when dipped in a good peanut curry sauce that comes with satay.
Hopefully this place will still be there by the time I visit Malaysia! I have a Malaysian friend whom I made during my uni years and he invited me to visit his country and honestly I can’t wait after watching all this amazing food!
DUUUUUDE! at first i LOLed when you put strawberry jam on the roti bom, because we don't do that here. but now after seeing how it was delicious to you, now I HAVE TO TRY IT, TOO!!! 😄
OMG so much good variety for so cheap! I wanna try that roti!!! You made it look sooo good, I like regular roti so I assume the taste is the same just smashed into a yummy patty!! Haha you ate so many… ahh it’s breakfast time here and i want some now😭LOLOL!! I wish America had such cheap good quality buffets!!! That little Batman kid was so cute, haha he didn’t like you after you said you liked Joker haha… you got burnnnned hehehe. Glad you’re having so much fun outside of Korea, I love these videos of you doing this!! Hope to see more happy travels!! 💜
that fish noodle is called asam laksa... soup made outta mackerel meat, tamarind and bunch of spices. gotta put some cucumber, pineapple and mint leaves in there. ok. sounds pretty insane but its normal.
i guess this is true to other south east asian countries but heavy breakfasts came from the fact that in olden days Malaysians are hard labour workers and a lot of people are working as fishermen or in plantations and also mines. so they need heavy breakfasts to keep them energized for the day's work. Nowadays we work in offices but still eat heavy breakfasts lmao.
That's true in a lot of countries. The classic big American breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage and also toast, pancakes or waffles was made for farmers who needed energy to work in the fields all day.
7:25 the rice ball is called Nasi Impit. Eat them with lontong (the yellow vege broth, sometimes it has crab, prawns and chicken in it) or eat it with peanut sauce, goes well with satay too.
That fish soup noodle is definitely an acquired taste. I've seen people throw up after eating one spoon and I've seen people gobbled up 5 bowls in one sitting.
Even me as Malaysians, i dont really like any red looking Laksa as well. I don't like the sour taste of it. The only laksa that I enjoy is the Kelantan Laksam. The fishy and creamy taste with the flat swirl noodle makes it soo tasty. The only thing I didn't like abt it is sometimes there is a bit of fish bone in it
Roti boom is a member of roti canai big family. Roti canai being the basic, plain version. Then theres roti boom, a sweeter version of roti. Then theres roti telur, a version with egg. Then theres roti sarang burung, a different egg version. Then theres roti sardine, roti tampal, roti tisu and many other. Maybe you can visit a local mamak and try all varieties 😂
Watching this video has me craving for that roti boom with peanut butter and strawberry sandwich-it’s insane how much I want to try it now! It looks absolutely delicious, and I can’t wait to taste it for myself! 😂😂😂😂😂
I love watching Jimmy go to buffets and not being afraid to be like the rest of us: filling up on bread and noodles because they're freaking delicious.
as always, such a great video. I love watching you try different foods from all types of countries and price points. extra points for the peanut butter and jam rotti
I've been watching your valorant videos long time ago (my go-to game) and now you're vlogging in Malaysia? Love the contents. Aight, you've earned a subscriber right here
I was really shocked to see those girls were Malaysian because they sounded like they could be American. I wonder if their Korean was as good as their English. Very impressive.
Roti bomb is basically everywhere in Malaysia and Singapore, and an eatery near where I live here in Singapore serves it too. Lontong , the clumped up rice balls with coconut milk, is relatively plain although a little sweet, and they recommend eating it with curry. However, I sometimes have the weird habit of eating it with soup, normally simmered with soy sauce 😅
you can add condensed milk or fine sugar on roti boom, it's how the local eats here, high cholesterol, high fat, high carbs, good start to your morning (sarcastic)

no wonder all malay girls are sluts
Sounds pretty good, the Roti looked very nice I would eat it with anything to be honest, Take care :)
Like you eat Roti Canai with Condensed Milk, Bahulu Celop kopi.. 😅..
for those who wonder if that those price are cheap for foreigner but kinda expensive for local. Nah its cheap for local standard too
Yup, this time not gonna get those people coming in and griping about "You keep saying it's cheap but it's expensive for us! Don't be so insensitive!"
It is really cheap price with a lot of choices.. as a student I really want to go there to eat
RM10-12 is standard for a meal in KL, isn't it?
@@kevinjanghj but not buffet tho
nice to finally see a wholesome vlogger, i never comment or sub or watch other peoples videos but you got a good vibe bro. subbed
but like the rest of us you're gonna stay for the dirty jokes 😂

Basically less dense rice cake.
@@alizainal4214exactly
they are just normal rice and at the same time not normal rice. They taste way way better when you put (curry) sauce. dont ask me the science lol

Nice! Now I don't feel bad about doing all your Japan buffet locations! :P
Oh, I'd be honored. You can further honor me by renting the same Japanese gf and bf that I rented 🫡

This is one of those rare times where the cheap buffet is actually cheap for the locals too lol
You should explore other states and places besides Kuala Lumpur
Its feels so nice seeing good and no cussing vlog you earned new subscriber cant wait for new video too!
I think there is more variety in the 15 MYR, if you are still there you should try going for the lunch buffet
yes because there is seafood in the buffet

nice one Jimmy 👍
You either eat the compressed rice with beef rendang or peanut sauce or lodeh(yellow vegetables curry)
This motivated me to go to my local buffet again, havent been showing them love since a few month

I'm glad the soft power of Americas peanut butter and jelly sandwich has reached Malaysia.
"I like to define what is good!"... that's a good philosophy for life in general.
that sour fish noodle is called Asam Laksa, I think there are shrimp paste, fishes, and tamarind plus more spices in the soup.
Jimmy u can comeback to Malaysia during Ramadan month
Roti with jam.. I've got to try it next time I hit Springleaf
I used to live nearby at Seri Rampai and I never been to this place. I might want to try it out for brunch with my family.
