Reinhart's mastery of paper engineering has hit its apogee here. Harry Potter Pop-up took my breath away with the smooth intricate nesting of movable paper and the many hidden features-especially the map-so reminiscent of things magical. He uses every mechanical trick in the book and none are gratuitous. A triumph of paper engineering!

I've always loved pop up books, but they are such fragile materials. Unfortunately, most of the libraries I know only carry a handful of them because children end up destroying these lovely works of art. It's such a shame. As a child I was enthralled by these sorts of books. It really takes me back. Thanks for sharing your passion for pop up books.
