And it’s totally normal to take a break from spending after becoming a new mom. Some of the conservative spending may stay, but you’ll eventually get back to yourself after they’re a little older & want to treat yourself ❤
Hi Irene. Thank you for this video.. since I had my daughter this January.. I do not have the desire to buy things anymore as well. I feel the same way when I look at my designer bags and my perfumes.. I don’t have the same “joy” I used too when I didn’t have my daughter yet. I feel like minimalism has taken over.. we’re on the same boat..I also live in Calgary!! 😅
Happy birthday! 🥳 I will be 31 later this year and having the baby planning discussions. Really enjoyed hearing your perspective as a new mommy and just getting to know you. I too would like to cut back on beauty purchases mainly to enjoy what I have. I’ve subbed! Hope you have a lovely day! ❤
Hi Irene, thanks for the chatty video, it was nice to get to know you better! I’m a mom of 3 littles and actually didn’t find my shopping has reduced post kids, lol. I wish it had. Maybe you can do commentary on things happening in the luxury community/marketplace rather than actually unboxing items? I also enjoy fashion videos so it would be nice to see how you make outfits especially as a mom. Cheers!
Thank you for your support and for the video suggestions! I’ve been thinking about doing more fashion/style and beauty videos so that’s definitely going to be in the works!
I actually got back into luxury after kids 😄 I just wanted something that was for me and it’s been so fun! ❤ I’m excited to see wherever your channel goes towards 😊
Yay! I’m also a fellow ♉️ and I definitely feel like I have similar personalities and especially the stubbornness 😆 I admire that you’re strong about not buying/spending. Earlier in my life when my first child was young, I was into luxury but nowadays I’m more into the mid range “quiet luxury.” And I try to spend money and time with my kids instead. Lastly, I’m also grew up in a Chinese household who use to live on the 2nd floor of our Chinese restaurant 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I felt the same way after having all three of my boys. Who you are changes which is not a bad thing just a different phase in our life. I would say it took about 10 years to get back into fashion and luxury purses for me. It’s not necessarily that I lost myself. It’s just I was first and foremost a mother and wife. Now things are changing because my boys are more independent so I have a little more time to indulge in things I used to love. Again, not a bad thing just a different phase in my life since I am in my 40s now. As far as spending thousands at Sephora, I used to be that person as well until my dermatologist recommended three things for my skin and told me to stop spending my money on nonsense lol… my skin has never looked better 🤣 Love your channel and will continue to watch no matter what you choose to share.
Thank you so so much for all your support and kind words! I’m glad you can relate with the Sephora spending as well! Hopefully things will settle down for me and I can feel a bit more like myself 🤞🏼
Love this video, Irene, very interesting, thank you for sharing. A day in the life would be good however i understand you not wanting to have your little one on!
I’ll be 41 this May (Gemini). I totally understand where you’re coming from, as a mom of 2 it’s so easy to lose ourselves & burn out. I started my TH-cam channel to have my own identify and maintain of piece of something for me. A creative outlet if you will. Stick with it!! Going back to work was tough at first but manageable. Although being a teacher may be tougher. Wishing you the best of luck, you will be just fine! ❤
I had a shelf break on me as well; scared me crazy....I blamed the shelf.😂 I wish you & baby well during your separation & your return to work. 🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎉 to Baby! 💛 p.s. you literally have no need for makeup...FLAWLESS! 🥰
Thank you so much!! Omg when my shelf broke, it was late at night and I thought we had home intruders!! Then my husband went to investigate and never thought to check the closet and we thought we had evil spirits in our home 😂
It’s a great video, very candid and we definitely got to know another side of you, very humbling for sure. My parents are also immigrants and they also had a business.
❤thanks for uploading GRWM and you look so flawless, will have to try some of the products mentioned.. you should do a Sephora haul showing what you bought from the Sephora sale. And has a mom I agree I think twice before spending my motto is, is the item a need or what. Then treat myself on special occasions like bday or mothers. We moms desire to also treat ourselves too 😅😊❤
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching! Absolutely, moms work so hard and I have so much more respect for moms now that we deserve to treat ourselves! I would share what I got from Sephora but it would be a ten second video cause I just got a skin oil! 😂
Hi Irene, i love your vedios and you are so entertaining and I have so much fun wateching them. You are lucky living in Calgary when it comes to buying luxery goods, you pay less taxes than me as living in Toronto!! I love the luxery bags, I recently travelled to Japan for vacation and I purchased a Celine bag and saved $1000 Canadian. Do I feel guity? Nup!! Because I work very hard and I do want to treat myself as a reward, so if you can afford it then don’t stop for what you do.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and for all your support! I do agree that Calgary/Alberta is wonderful due to our low sales tax, at least there's one thing to be proud of living here 😅I completely agree, if it brings you joy and you've worked hard and you're making responsible financial decisions, live your best life and go buy the bag!
And it’s totally normal to take a break from spending after becoming a new mom. Some of the conservative spending may stay, but you’ll eventually get back to yourself after they’re a little older & want to treat yourself ❤
I sure hope some of the conservative spending stays! It's almost like a personal challenge every month to see how low I can keep my bills!
I recently came across your channel and I’m slowly binge watching. Love your easy going personality and style. 💚
Wow, thank you so so much for such a compliment and for all your support! ❤

I think that it’s smart to not put your child on camera. It’s nice to see a parent put their child first over monetary gain.
Thank you! I just feel like it's unnecessary and not always safe, especially since my channel is completely available to the public.
