It is adoption day! We have waited 9 years for this adoption to come and it is such an emotional live adoption. Even though this was an adult adoption Melinda will always be our baby.

Aaron literally is one of the best Dad. He does everything without any complaint , he literally runs to save his kid. I know him helping Melinda shift , went with Aariana , does every room renovation. When Melinda said I love u Dad and Aaron said I love you Daughter that made me smile with happiness. Just wanna appreciate Aaron as Dad because we always unintentionally forget Father's love. And congratulations for adoption ❤️

That moment when Aurora waved at the judge and then they waved back was so adorable.
The parents don't feel differently because they really already counted her. This was all about Melinda and I'm so glad she gets the official paper to match how the parents have felt all along. It is obvious they are her parents to her as well, but I remember seeing Melinda's face in the video about her story. You could see the pain of her status,, not being official. And I think with each child's adoption, she has had a twang of pain. So congratulations to you all! Much love!

My favorite thing about Melinda is how she fully gives herself to others as a mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend. To be in her life makes y'all lucky 💓 love her channel 'Crazy Treasures' and hallie is correct, her smile and laugh brighten up a room!
It's really great that Arizona law allows this late adoption. It's important for Melinda's child and future family also that the family relationship is official, not only for the feeling that she was the one not officially adopted. Although, I agree with the reasons for not adopting when she was 17. I'm really happy for Melinda that things turned out good for her.
Very sweet kids. We've been raising two grandkids since their birth and our 15yoa granddaughter saw several of your kids in Walmart and she asked for a photo with them which they very graciously did. Thank you for that, it made her day. Keep up the great work and wholesome videos.
A t-shirt quilt with adoption dates plus birthdates for Hallie, Max & Logan, would be amazing.
Max is their bio child so he would just have a birth date

I cried. Jamie is next. I see Isaac’s little brother is included. I knew that the family would accept him into the fold. So happy for them
They haven’t been able to find a way to adopt Jamie yet. I think they’re still working on finding a loophole for her, given her disabilities, but I don’t know if there is one
If I'm not mistaken I think crystal said they did try to adopt Jamie but they were not able to do it because they adopted Jamie's daughter Aurora so the court would not allow them to adopt both daughter and mother but maybe someday the courts will change that rule and they will be able to adopt Jamie also
@@carmencitadavis9043 no, they couldn’t adopt Jamie because she was over 21. They did have to fight for the judge to allow Jamie to stay in their home with Aurora, though

I just can't imagine what it would be like to be in the Foster system knowing no one loves you, no one cares about you and no one wants you. I am so thankful and grateful for Aaron and Crystal having so much love in their hearts to share with all their kids.

I watch these types of videos and it makes me happy to see young adults that are wanted and loved unconditionally. I’ll always long for this, but it touches my heart seeing that good people exist in the world. It’s hard not having a mother or a father for sure. 😢❤️

Jamie will lose her soc.sec benefits if she's officially adopted under their names. I'm almost positive it goes by income, and they make wayyyyy too much money for her to still qualify for several things

She was never formally placed with them and came to them as adult so can't be adopted

I wonder if they’ll adopt Jamie, I mean I know she came into the family under different circumstances than the rest of the kids but she has also become one of their daughters and she calls Aron dad and Crystal mom also so I think maybe it would be nice for them to adopt her also.
@@MarySanchez-zl1sg They can't officially adopt Jamie since she was never a foster placement with them. However, she can get her last name changed to Pettit if she wants to.

Shot out to the guy who helps them film not sure on your name but your good at it and you never miss good shots. When leaving court house you could see him in the window on the doors. He deserves this shot out 😊😁💖 but congrats Melinda on finally being adopted. I hope with jamies disability there's still a way she can be adopted but if not even just changing her last name if she would like would even work .

This was very emotional for me. I aged out of foster care so I know how important this was to Melinda

I had to giggle at that part. Ummm, YEAH! For NINE years she hasn’t called them anything BUT Mom and Dad. ❤️🥰😁
My parents had over 30 children come into our home (some were repeats) and many became "family" and it broke our hearts when they returned to their biological families, knowing that many of those returns really weren't going to go well.....thus the repeats. We had a baby that we had for over a year and it just about killed all of us to give her back. Some of the children just fit like a glove and brought such joy and happiness into our family. To this day, over 40 years later, we still communicate with them. Sadly, back then here in New York State, foster parents were not allowed to adopt foster children, which I think was just so very wrong!!!! I believe that policy has changed now, but it's sad that that was the way they handled things back when my parents fostered.
Imagine having an emotionally available mother AND father. These kids are so lucky.

So touching, I have been telling my foster mom I wanted to be adopted she never adopted me, but adopted everyone else in my family. It hurts still to this day 😢.
