I do not think anyone in the world can play the electric, slide, lap guitar like these guys if you ever get a chance to see them JUST GO the are amazing.
An ANOINTED Woman of GOD ‼️ she prayed for our son who had a speech impediment. She placed two of her fingers in his mouth and said Loose in the name of JESUS ❗️And he’s been speaking ever since ‼️🙏❤️❤️❤️ TO GOD BE THE GLORY GENERAL ELDER HAMPTON ❤️😃🙏
WOW !!! Thank you John Gilbreath at KBCS 91.3 FM for turning me onto the Campbell Brothers, better yet thank to the Good Lord, for bringing all of this to us !
The Campbell Brothers played Sundays in Rochester NY in Corn Hill. Keeping the sounds of Sacred Steel alive!! You may have heard of their nephew Robert Randolph
Not from a blues festival. This footage is from a documentary on African-American gospel music recorded at the House of God church in Rush, NY Produced by a French company, Gloria Films, it has never been released in this country AFAIK. I did the audio recording for this and the Sacred Steel documentary on Arhoolie. Recording date was summer of 1999, if memory serves. The Arhoolie footage was filmed in late fall/early winter of 1998. In this clip, Elder Hampton has a Shure Beta 87, with one of my modified wind screens. Chuck's pedal steel has a Sennheiser MD409, forget what I used on Phil's guitar, probably an AT M63HE. Drums had AKG D112 on kick, another AT on snare, and Shure SM81 for overheads. 13 year old Carlton is playing drums, he's Phil's son. Can't remember if brother Darick was up from Georgia for this one, he's in the Arhoolie documentary.
Praise God I've found some sho nuff Praise music 👏. I rented a CD or was it a cassette tape 🤔, from the library, of the Campbell Brothers back somewhere 2008 or so, and one song I remember was " I got a feeling". And I was wondering if I would ever find them on TH-cam. Praise God I have. 🙌 Anybody know where I can order their music. 🙏🏿
If there was a church like this near me I’d start going!😂
If I was going to belong to a church, this would be the one!
How anyone can watch this & not be moved is beyond me...

I almost expect Eric Clapton to step up to the microphone (from the Cream days) and start singing 'I went down to the Crossroads'.
