As you may be the major Reformed scholar on Rahner it falls on you to carefully study Catholic theology , Western and Eastern, closely on such areas as the Trinity and the relation of nature and grace.

"Uncreated grace" isn't really a traditional concept in Catholicism--certainly not in Thomism. The obscure Thomistic concept that Rahner recovers is "semi-formal" or "quasi-formal" causality of grace.

Uncreated grace is God himself, a good Eastern Orthodox doctrine. I would say Rahner's core insight is the transcendent existential.

Anonymous Christian is based on an older Catholic doctrine of Baptism of desire.

Re: anonymous Christianity: Rahner writes of the "existential supernatural" inbred in all people, that is, all humans have through created grace an openness, a tendency and a capacity for transcendence. And the ultimate aim of our going out beyond ourselves is God--but we may only write a poem or invent algebra or paint Starry Night instead. so yes indeed as stated, our ultimate aim. is to receive Godself. This last is uncreated Grace--because God is uncreated and so is the Spirit. Rahner's insistence that ALL are invited to receive the spirit and have the innate capacity to do so is important. And rahner holds that some HAVE received the spirit without linking it up to Catholic or for that matter Christian dogma. Look around. There are professed Christians who fall short in terms of their lives; likewise, there are Muslims and Jews and others who live with the Spirit without professing the dogma. we see through a glass darkly.
