RECET KICK OFF MEETING IN MENORCA

El Consell Insular de Menorca i l'Agència Menorca Reserva de Biosfera formen part del projecte europeu RECET, una iniciativa per al foment de la participació ciutadana en la transició energètica. Juntament amb entitats locals d'Islàndia, Dinamarca, Eslovènia i Suècia, el Consell Insular de Menorca col·labora en en disseny d'eines de participació i decisió per a que els habitants de zones rurals com l'illa de Menorca puguin fer part de la planificació del canvi de model energètic del seu territori.
El projecte RECET té com a objectiu donar suport i millorar la capacitat de les administracions i de les parts interessades en aquests territoris per jugar un paper important en l'acceleració de la transició verda a través de la seva acceptació local. Aquesta iniciativa pretén impulsar un procés de capacitació local que permeti la cooperació entre tots els sectors socials i econòmics del territori en l'execució d'activitats locals realistes. Reforçar aquesta capacitat local en la transició energètica permetrà impulsar transformacions socioeconòmiques i creixement local a les regions rurals europees, complint amb l'ambició climàtica tot creant un camí pròsper per a una comunitat forta i resilient.
Hem iniciat les primes reunions del projecte per millorar la capacitat de planificació municipal, actualitzar els Plans d’Acció pel Clima i l’Energia Sostenible (PACES) en consonància amb l'Estratègia Menorca 2030 i treballar en millorar la disponibilitat de recursos humans, habilitats i competitivitat a les comunitats rurals com Menorca.

The Insular Council of Menorca and the Menorca Biosphere Reserve Agency are part of the RECET European project, an initiative to promote citizen participation in the energy transition. Together with local entities from Iceland, Denmark, Slovenia and Sweden, the Insular Council of Menorca collaborates in the design of participation and decision-making tools so that the inhabitants of rural areas such as the island of Menorca can be part of the planning of the change in the energy model of its territory.
The RECET project aims to support and improve the capacity of administrations and stakeholders in these territories to play an important role in accelerating the green transition through its local acceptance. This initiative aims to promote a local training process that allows cooperation between all the social and economic sectors of the territory in the execution of realistic local activities. Strengthening this local capacity in the energy transition will drive socio-economic transformations and local growth in Europe's rural regions, meeting climate ambition while creating a prosperous path for a strong and resilient community.
We have started the first meetings of the project to improve municipal planning capacity, update the Action Plans for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES) in line with the Menorca 2030 Strategy and work on improving the availability of human resources, skills and competitiveness in rural communities such as Menorca.
