I wish I could say that things have changed, and people have started accepting others of all backgrounds, interests and lives, but it appears that in some ways our world is becoming more divisive than ever. QOTF is about owning whatever it is that makes you different and saying ‘your loss’ to the haters. I think what makes QOTF unique is that despite that THIS IS ME attitude, you can still feel the vulnerability around those decisions. It takes courage to be yourself, and sometimes it can feel lonely. But pretending to be someone you’re not is a far more lonely and isolating experience, and to many (like me) it’s just not an option anyway

AViVA's music has helped me get into my freak side, a lot of my family is against music like this EXCEPT for my parents, I've always been judged for liking the darker sides of things (horror, paranormal, etc). AViVA was a life changer for me. Her music helps me get myself back into a state of positivity and self acceptance. I've always loved how she speaks out for many minorities and welcomes everyone as an outsider. Theres no exclusion from her community, because she welcomes everyone! I hope one day she ends up on the radio, because she really deserves it! She's come so far! And as for AViVA, keep being you and putting out amazing music and speaking out for the ones who are dealing with extreme discrimination! You keep doing you! Youre our Queen and an inspiration to us all! :)

I RELATE TO THIS SONG SO MUCH. My sister, her friends, some of my friends, and other family is constantly making fun of me because of the music I listen to, the shows I watch, etc, like everything I do is weird and not normal. I'm constantly called "emo", which I'm not arguing with. Everyone knows I'm "emo", and when I show it the least bit, they have faces of disinterest and disgust. Sometimes even sarcastic excitement. It gets really tiring, having no one to talk to and be myself with. I have a friend who is into that stuff, but distance learning and the whole stay at home thing is not allowing us to see each other, and we've both been super busy with online school. I am forbidden from all social media, including tiktok, but my *normal* sister is aloud to have it, and we're the same age. But I feel like I can just relate to AViVA's music so much, and her songs are having a huge impact on my life thus far. I am much more oblivious and passive with all my haters thanks to your positive words, and I'm way happier having your music and updates to look forward to instead of not having it at all and feeling alone, not looking forward to anything. I'm truly happy I found you and your music. We love you AViVA! Truly a queen💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤 P.S., I'm TOTALLY going to buy your book when it comes out! Looks so interesting!

I am in a similar situation with my family where they make tease me and make fun of the things I like to watch and listen to but I know that it is my life and not theirs. I'm still trying to figure out who I am. This song makes a bit emotional because the one who's called me a freak when I've been low is myself, because it can be so hard to be different. It's taking me some time to embrace who I am, and I know it'll be a while. before I can fully do so. Thank you so much for your music and this song. I know I've said this a lot with your recent songs, but this is a song i needed. Especially now. I might get diagnosed with a learning disability and on the one hand everything would make sense, on the other hand it might be hard to accept it. It's a real sucky feeling man.
