    👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 WOW ... Kaity I love your aquascape design ... If your moving I do hope it is stress free ... Do you hope to have think leaf aquarium plants growing out of the water for looks and filtration ❓ You have some beautiful rocks for stacking, when it be possible to cut the flat ones in half, and then stack them either side of the peninsula making more room for swimming ❓You could do away with the aquarium background, and just have a flexible aquarium plant bag behind the stacked stone.... Love the video, design and what your doing ... Thank you

      Thank you so much!! I have lids for the tank that I need to keep the Bichir and rainbow fish from jumping, but I do love the look of an out of water scape. I don't know if I'd be able to access the right equipment for cutting the rocks, that would be super handy to be able to do that though. I just got the tanks set up at the new place so I'm planning to get working on the scape again soon 😁

    Wow, if you have to move in a month I wouldn’t even bother doing anything until you moved into your new place, that’s a lot of work to do just to disassemble and then move, not to mention it’s gonna be heavy as hell if you don’t take all that back out! 😮

    • @Kaityscichlids
      @Kaityscichlids  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it definitly wasn't ideal timing! I set the tank up with water back in August and didn't know I'd be moving in October at the time. The company doing the move for me already had to have the people/equipment to move my African Cichlid tank so being already filled with water, adding it in the sand/rock didn't make too much of a difference. It was still a huge job though

  • @Evil_Genius_888

    I can see your vision! It’s looking fantastic. I’m trying to do something similar on a smaller scale in that 75g. The pagoda stone was super expensive so I grabbed some cheep sandstone pavers for layers that will be more hidden by substrate and plants.

    That was a great upload. Please keep an eye on the leperonis as they can be notorious fin nippers. Once they don’t like a fish it’s over.

    Only thing is when you are watching tv in the coaches you cabt really see the africans on the other side, wonder if placing the tan on the other side where the bird cage is would have given you another view…also you mentioend you are moving to a new townhome, that’s going to be an interesting process with these tanks moving please document it :-) is it a more spacious place for even more tanks? Lol, cheers have fun and enjoy nature daily

      As they are uv light stabilised and won't degrade quickly. Also if you buy the good ties with stainless steel tongue/ratchet bit, you can undo/reuse them by poking an ofcutt end in the head and pull tie loose. Good luck with your future move, and tanks move/set up.

    Looks like a great plan! What happened to your new l333 pleco you bought with the rainbow fish at Keeping fish simple? He looked so cute I bought one myself last Sunday! 😊 love your videos!

      Thank you 😄 That's awesome you got one too!! He is still in there, I realised afterwards I forgot to mention my plecos! I have a L397 in there too. It's because they're always hiding 🤣

    Hi Kaity, love these large peninsula tanks. I have the red sea version well 2 actually. anyway what is the stand height of your WB 7225 its looks low or are you just tall? I am a reef keeper but I am keen on setting up a FW planted some day. keep up the good work!

      @Kaityscichlids  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Deva! Thank you so much for the support :) The Waterbox tanks are great. Both of them are 7225 models, I think they are 1500mm including the tanks, so the stands must be about 900mm. I'm 170cm tall for reference

      @@Kaityscichlids ah OK about the same as my Red sea version of this tank. my is around 1600ish. everyone in the video must have been tall or camera angels made the tanks look lower.
      anyway keep up the good work. some day you should try saltwater. :D

      Thank you!! Yes the plant is beautiful. I did have the name but I've lost it. I think it is a Bovinias something... You don't see them here in Australia that often. I hit the jackpot with it, as you also don't normally see such big plants in aquarium stores here!

    Just a little advice, it is recommebded to put some shells in the ciclid tank, it hardens the water (TDS) and give some hidding places for ciclids... Great video as usual...

    • @Kaityscichlids
      @Kaityscichlids  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 🙌 And yes, shells are great for African Cichlid tanks! The Texas holey rock limestone also raises the carbonate hardness and makes for some good hiding spots
