I definitely remember this VW from last year, it was in such a memorably bad state. I can't understand how on earth a person sits and drives in an interior like that. There are covers they could at least get for the floor which are easily removable and can be shaken out regularly - it would keep the worst of the sand, pet hair and mud out. I'm a pet owner as well and a former VW Golf owner - could never sit in a ride like this. Oof. You truly worked a miracle once again.
Whenever I am asked or offer to clean a car, I’ll always insist on doing the exterior only the first time as it enables me to assess how the owner treats the inside. Interior cleaning can be hugely time-consuming - some people are happy to drive around in filth and identifying those people can only be done when you can see the car properly. Lovely job, Heather. Let’s hope the owner takes better care.
Oh my gosh. A compressor and a tornador will transform car cleaning for you. Luxury. I love the drill idea as a workaround. Love the steamer. Anyone get annoyed at that low quality “carpet” that manufacturers use more and more now. It’s barely a carpet. Nothing comes out of it.
I am floored. You are the most detailed of detailers! I keep my cars immaculate by most peoples standards, I even have had mechanics concerned they were going to dirty my vehicles and people often asking what year my car is because it looks new when they are years old. However, after watching this I can see that I do not hold a candle to your level of work. I love the use of the steam cleaner, I have thought of it but have yet to use one. i'm convinced now. I don't know if it is you shooting and editing these videos but they are excellent too.
Thanks so much I really appreciate it! It sounds like your vehicle is very well cared for! I do the filming and editing too, it takes a while but I enjoy that bit as much as the actual cleaning/ detailing to be honest
I have to commend you for that was one very dirty interior with copious amounts of pet hair, mud and sand for being used. Although that looked like hard graft, the fantastic results speak for themselves. Very well done Heather
Brilliant job , vw carpet like most other cars has been made so cheap these days ,I'm a mobile valeter (18yrs) and use a air compressor with a tornador tool it does save so much time like in your video the sand collected ŵere the edges of the mat of the tornador would have lifted it out no trouble , In this job we do everyday is a learning day finding new techniques to save time not only that your back and knees , keep up the good work and your videos.
@AutoCareHQ I have 3 tornadors one is just a blower which you can change the funnel on to a brush tip , the other 2 have a bottle on so I can add cleaner I use bh hd apc the 3rd one is permanently set up with plastic dressing with the setting down to low I use this on vans and HGV trucks intriours saves so much time .
You made an interesting point…’trying to remove as much cleaner reside as possible.’ In most cases residual cleaner left in the fabric will quickly attract new soil.
I was watching an old 'Autoshine cars' video the other day and was thinking Gary hasn't uploaded for a long time, but after seeing this, I'm thinking he's sending really bad interior cars onto you now haha. I've got the same or similiar Karcher steam cleaner, and believe or not, as a bloke, I did read some of the instructions, but it never felt right filling the tank by pouring water of the black bit, which (if i did read correctly?) is the top of the water softener cartridge. Was thinking you could to with a Tornador air tool which Gary fromAutoshine uses, but using that drill brush I think is a brilliant idea for people not in the trade but just want to give their cars a better than average clean up on the inside, you'be given me a few good ideas to try to give get my interior looking better!
Really enjoy your videos. Shame the owner has let this car go again. Detailing a car is hard work both inside and out. Inside sometimes more so because of the intricate nature of detailing an interior, but trying to film this as well as getting the right shots and setting up cameras every time even more so, so much respect to Heather. The end result is testament to Heather's product knowledge and what tools are required at each step. The newsletter is a great idea and offers a different angle from other detailing channels.
The analogy I like is that getting into a car with a freshly detailed interior is like getting into a bed with new sheets….LOL. Have you seen a product made by P&S called Finisher? It helps prevent re-soiling on fabric/carpets. Definitely going to check out that Karcher steamer!
Hi there Heather , another fine job and video , I love your calming voice ❤ I see a loe of comments on Tornador and Air compressor - but if you still have your Blo dryer, it will serve you in a similar way for now. I am doing the same with my dryer, blowing out all the dust and stuck debris .. Vacuuming is much easier then .. try it 💪
Is there a dedicated degreaser for the interior, steering wheel specifically?. Alternatively, would an apc do this safely, or a leather cleaner instead. I want that original leather sating factory look. Great vid as always, love the content ❤
Thanks! I’d have thought VW would be better to be honest considering you pay a bit of a premium compared to some brands. Wish they were like Audi carpets 😂
Wow! I can remember this VW from last year - you did a brilliant job then at tackling such a mucky interior and equally brilliant now! How one can let their interior get into such a state I will never know but a great job yet again Heather. Keep it up!
Great job Heather. I'm off to get one of those Detail Factory pet hair brushes. I spend 2 hours on the boot of an Evoque recently trying to get all the dog hairs out.
Great transformation. Always sobering to see the crud that comes out when you wet vac carpets. Did our lounge the other week - we've been walking on that in our bare feet🤮.
Wow!! That looked like hard work. I don't know how people let their cars get so bad, but it's a good thing they do, otherwise you'd have to find another hobby. 😊
I appreciate a lot the interior cleaning and I use Kochchemie Top Star it leaves a good protection Matt finish not greasy at all, but it's a real time consuming. By the way Astonishing results👍🏽
My god! Super Nice work as always! I hope u are proud of your expertise that you have developed. I do my car myself, inside out. Otherwise. I definetly would have trust in in your able hands. That. And I live in Sweden 😅
Wouldn't it be better if they got you in more often to keep on top of it? Also glad to see you not covering all the switchgear in wet foam like I've seen some other TH-cam detailers do, it might look pretty in a video, but can't be good for the switches
Awesome job 👏 It's a nightmare getting scuff marks out of textured plastics, i resorted to a magic sponge. Going to have to get myself a scrub pad. Satisfying seeing all that dog hair come out of that mat 😂
The quality of your detailing, filming and editing just keeps getting better Heather 👍 If anybody is interested Yum cars has a 15% discount for a few days with BREAK15. Their interior cleaner and deodoriser is fantastic IMHO
How can anybody let their car get in this state,it would do my head in infact i would not get in it. Well done you for winning the germ warfare war.10/10.
Hello Caretakers. Hello Heather. Take it with pride. The owner will get it dirty again and again. It might be much worse, if you have to make it be dirty by yourself. This would double the work! ;-)
@@AutoCareHQ would take me 3.5 hours tops (no filming) for a vehicle that size. Afternoon Heather 👋 just playing up here...... a properly dirty car interior BUT! my, what a transformation ! 👏.......A very impressive result!
Thanks very much Graham!
@AutoCareHQ Hi Heather, thanks for the reply🙂......I did forget to add the words catch-up in my original scribe! Duh, me! 🙄. Have a good week ahead!
An excellent job to say the least!
The most difficult areas for me are the windshield and under the seats.

Good result Heather came up well
Thank you! 😊
I bought that very same steamer few weeks ago, it really helps with some areas, your showcase video helped me decide for it ...
I’m glad you’re finding it useful too 😊
Once again another fantastic and informative video Heather
If you want an air compressor have a look in Machine Mart lot's of sizes & not bad prices
Looks brand new now!

Fantastic job, that interior was quite dirty !
Thank you!
Awesome video Heather.
Thank you!
Best way to do mats is to pressure wash them and quick to do then use a wet vac hoover to extract the water and this time yr put them outside to dry
That’s my usual routine but I wasn’t filming at the usual location and couldn’t fit the pressure washer in my MX5 😂
Hi Heather 🖐
Well done! A very professional looking job. 🥂
Cheers!!.. 😎
Thanks very much!
Heather buen trabajo como siempre tan aplicada y profesional.👍
Thank you very much!

Thanks for watching :) It definitely does need doing more often but it gets so bad so quickly I reckon it would need a deep clean every month
I like KC Mzr way better than Green star (apc) for carpets and seats. I can dilute it more, it cleans and smells better
Awesome job 👏 It's a nightmare getting scuff marks out of textured plastics, i resorted to a magic sponge. Going to have to get myself a scrub pad. Satisfying seeing all that dog hair come out of that mat 😂

Amazing. Whatever you're getting paid, it's not enough. How long did it take to dry out? Great turn around Heather
Thanks Kim! It took a few hours here as it wasn't a very warm day
Love a good interior detail

I’m getting a golf R for my next car and this would be my nightmare if it got to that state 😂 great video btw 😊
Thanks! Haha I’m the same 😂
Fantastic work!
Thank you!
Always enjoy, quick question where did you get the plastic wheel trays please
Thanks! Do you mean the ones I usually use on exterior videos? They’re from Rim Mats
Have you thought about offering like others deep clean price one off then they go onto a monthly maintenance programme?
Yep for some cars it’s perfect but this one gets so dirty I honestly think it would need a deep clean most months 😂

Hi how long did it take you to detail the inside ?
About 8 hours including filming
Toooooop work 🤙🤙
Thanks!
Hi Heather what do you recommend for cleaning the headliner.?
I usually use either steam or a mild fabric cleaner/ APC but just make sure not to saturate the fabric so it doesn't sag
