Disappointed to hear about the Nottingham one. I am trying to find some local stores/fares for retro games specifically (in in Warwickshire) so was hoping Nottingham would be good as it’s only 1hr from here. Any other recommendations for local places?
Well the "other" nottingham one was superb, replay events, i just think the organiser really dropped the ball is all. Keep an eye on my vids as i always say which ones ill be at and im in east mids so will always be at any local ones!

The slug items of merch are great for the display, I've seen the loads of that type of stuff for sale but like you I'm absolutely hopeless with anything art related so I'd only mess it up plus I don't have the patience either to work them.

Yep, we are happy to talk to people and show a genuine interest in them and what they collect, so we get to find out about some amazing underground collections like your Jamie, I remember speaking to someone at one of the Blackpool plays who had a full aes fight set minus about one, it was the guy I bought the set of capcom vs snk figures from you showed me, I bumped into him the year later and got chatting to him about it.
Shame about Notty, I remember you on about the Barnsley one yonks ago, not great news for you and the lizard retro gang.
Loads of events next year but I've made massive tracks and have everything set to go in bulk, I have kept a nice selection because I like going to the markets as you know but who knows what's going to happen, Donny ended up costing me about 500 in stall rent, fuel, stuff I gave away so I'm glad it did well again, Donny retro games market, the number one lol
Highlight of the pickups was definitely the bag in a bag in boxes, I've had the bags loose as you'd expect but never boxed before, couple of nice sku's for your collection.

Nah its defo horses for courses but i would say i wasnt the only vendor who didnt "do well" dont get me wrong it was terrible but not a patch on the other events which over the last few years seems par for the course.

Those Metal Slug statues are mint pal! Some nice bits there mate, always loved accessories! I used to have loads of Sega/Sony branded bags, used to grab them all the time at the car boots, couldn't bloody resist them :D. Had a PS1 record bag that I used to take out everywhere with me, loved that thing :D. Crazy what happened with Gold2th, some proper weirdo Stan's out there!

It was only a matter of time Stu, you said it years ago, as soon as monetisation was introduced, it changed the reason to be on YT. Oh those are some lovely Metal Slug tanks, so wonderful with such attention to detail! Doncaster for me with the highest I have ever done in terms of sales and this the best performing market I have ever traded at. I shall endevour to return again , i'm surprised and sorry that it wasn't good for you. Maybe it was my first time and it was Beginners luck eh? Haha Mr Gameboy? I'll take it! Whats interesting is you did really well at Milton Keynes earlier this year and I didn't do as well as I had liked to so it works both ways. Yes the content creators don't spend money, I don't mind them coz it's free promo but I get why it's annoying. Whats funny is how you say you've been sold by the southerners but it's the opposite for me haha, well not completely. You are right you have that fomo vibe in London too. but also lets be mindful the date for London this year was sooner as it was the 10th November well before payday for many and the date for Doncaster was around the same time of Londons November one last year which was much more busy! So people not getting paid might have had something to do with how I did 25% more in terms of monies in doncaster. To add to my point I took an additional £400 after the market as people called me up after wanted to get stuff after London so there is something to be said about that. Nice pickups and keep well, I'll be at the next one in London next year in March, probs gonna pass on Leeds in Feb due to the weather, the distance and my folks being away and not sure I wanna do that on my own!
Yeah i know its the stock, i said that mine is very generic, yours is high end handheld items (which are not that common at the markets) but it wasnt just me with low sales thats the thing, its a general decline with Donny, but super happy you did well mate from a selfish point of view that is all that matters, not some old f'cker moaning on YT about it hahahaha!

One of the major issues with these events now is the "event tax". Don't get me wrong I expect to overpay and I'm happy to because of costs for the staller & getting to see all the games in person but some people just take the piss and then wonder why they don't sell anything. They're also getting way too busy to even move, even in the first entry slot.

Agreed, some stalls had great prices but were several that were far higher than eBay prices.
No mate thats a fair comment, my stuff is all priced against CEX (where its in stock) if not then sadly its ebay, i dont apply any "tax" to it as 75% of my stuff is the items ive upgraded where i can ill always cut folks a deal.
what i think you might be seeing is the bricks and mortar shops stalling out and so the prices may seem higher that or people are just putting mental prices on things!
Well if the early entry slot is too busy i can tell you that 8 vendors i spoke to say they sell very little in that first slot so gods knows what people are doing or expecting to find (i really hope its not a bargain as those would of been had before opening!)

Traders know what they have and know the correct sell price buyers want them cheaper and are looking for a bargain can you buy it cheaper elsewhere? for myself I know what I want and to be honest cannot be bothered looking for it if I have the money it gets purchased end off but not everyone is like me but I do get what your saying pal it can be frustrating.
