Honestly his songwriting is so refreshing in this day and age. He is so lyrically strong. He has an ability to say a lot without using too many words. A gift for finding simple phrases that yield so much. Just not sure why he felt he needed an effect on his vocals. His raw vocals are rich enough with tone, pitch and emotion.
Since the waterfall album, he has been adding effects on his voice in his every single song. Luckily not in his collaborating songs, but this is a reason that I rarely listen to him now...I love his natural voice more than some electrical tone. I can recognize his voice everytime whenever I accidentally hear his collabo songs.
