I was making so much money when I first started because I thought it was simple. I started watching these TH-camrs who every day kept saying “most traders fail or most traders lose money”. Now I won’t listen to them anymore. No negative affirmations or thoughts put in my head. Most traders aren’t willing to put in the work or take an occasional loss. I’m not most traders. Thank you for this positive video. Anyone can make money trading if they don’t quit.
You must believe to achieve.. That is wrong, you must know to achieve. First you start believing that you can do it but if that doesn't change to knowing that you can do it than it will not happen for you. knowing it without doing it is the same as not knowing it. But now you think you know it and therefore you dont have to learn anything new, and you question yourself why you fail. It is because we ''think we know'' stuf that we actually don't know. That last part really resonated with me, so thank you for making this video. I have learned a lot from your wisdom, and will apply it to my trading. Technicals and fundamentals are a necessity of course but, more times than I can count I lose because I can't control my greed or fear of missing out. Mastering one's emotions is harder than people think when it comes to trading. But as you mentioned, whats the WHY? I feel that my situation is very unique. For me... I have a host of chronic health problems that make my day-to-day life a living hell. Before I discovered trading, I used it to mask my laziness as an excuse why I couldn't make more money or turn my life around. But I can't accept that anymore. How? Because, I have developed such a burning desire to turn my life around, that no amount of physical suffering or pain will stop me. It just means I have to try that much harder than the next man, who is healthy. The crazy thing I've discovered is that as long as you want something bad enough, there is no limit to how much mental strength, a human being can have. Also, not to mention all the times I think about people that have disrespected me treated me unfairly or bullied. I'm sure many of you can relate to this. I wanted to get some kind of revenge, but after hearing you talk, I change my mind.... I'll let my success to the talking. Yet, after a 10 hour work day and trading 1 AM/4 AM in the morning, I still find time to go to the gym. Yes I'm sleep deprived, yes I am suffering, immensely! But to me, that just means you need a stronger mindset. "Nothing can kill me that which has not been done to me already!" I am simply not afraid. What scares me the most is not being able to succeed in this life.
Jared ppl dont watch because they think they can manage a trade while in the trade, but u need mental power to stay and notquit quick when price isgoing ur way. Some ppl recognize that they have a problem in a certain area and for them thes3 lectures are crucual to evolve into the steady sonsistant autistic trader. I am the pioneer kinda guy. So hard time trading i have to keep myself incontrol.
Thanks Jared. Looks like I need a better trading plan. Just can not figure out why I'm doing or not doing what I should. I wake up every day do my workouts look at the market come up with my levels of interest everything is draw out before market open then head to work for 7 am est once get to work I recheck the market at like 8. Trade more futures well try to then I have my big caps or blue chips I look at but I just can not figure what's wrong with my head. All levels are draw I say to my self if price gets there and reject or whatever I'm looking for it to do it does it an I sit there like a tard so so frustrating. I have a risk parameter set I don't know then after market close I look over the says action mabe not accepting the risk I trying to figure it out but same thi g day after day. Psychology of Winning: you must believe to achieve. a. average trader = technically efficient, psychologically a mess. How can we sort that out? b. Failure is an event. Not a person. c. What have you done today, to make you a better trader tomorrow? d. why do you fail to do what is necessary? Ego wants to be right. You sell early and feel good. Short term pain for longterm gratification, or Short term gratification for longterm pain. You choose! Never be embarrassed about what you have to do to achieve your goals. The 1%, are the 1%, because they are doing what only 1% of others are willing to do. 2R for targets, means I need 33% accuracy to be breakeven.
