I met Tevin Jenkins on Mother's Day, during dinner. I could hardly recognize him, he has slimmed down and looks like he's in the best shape of his life. He mentioned how Caleb had reached out to him and how excited he was to start the season. And me and my son were able to get pictures with him. After taking a closer look at the photos I noticed he had a huge smile on his face, like a big, cheesy, heart-felt smile, the kind you can't fake! It totally made my day.
That's awesome. ❤
That’s beyond cool
When Tev plays the line just plays different… He’s a difference maker!
He's already one of the best guards in the NFL. He just needs to stay healthy. Hopefully his new diet and other changes will help him in that regard.
He is hurt way too much though.
He's nasty on the field!
@@wr1791 at least it wasn't problems with his neck and back last year. Hopefully the calf injury was a freak occurrence. How did he manage to strain both at the same time? It didn't happen at Halas Hall and he was a newly married man...
@@jjc5407 the greatest ability is being available. Can’t give big contracts to guys with lengthy medical issues. Maybe they can get creative with the structure to protect the team, but it really hurts his value
LOVE TJ!!!! I hope he can stay healthy this year because the fact that Poles included him in with the other “core players” for the dinner with Caleb speaks VOLUMES!!! Maybe sign him to a fair deal that’s loaded with certain health clauses just incase
Tevin is such a beast and sounds down to earth. As a fan I hope he stays healthy and a Bear for his career
Interesting how involved both Tevin and Tyrique Stevenson have been in this process. Clearly, the FO looks at these guys as long-term building blocks. I don't think this is going to be an "if" the Bears want to extend him, it's going to have more to do with his price point given his injury history. What a turnaround for this guy. Great to see- he seems like just a great dude.
Tev is my favorite Bear even with all the talent we have. He just mauls dudes best o lineman the Bears have.
Hope Tevin stays healthy.
Love Tev! Kicks some butt this year Tev!
I’m pulling for #76 to have a great injury-free career starting this year in ‘24. He’s a beast and up to this point has gotten better every year until he gets injured which derails his progress. I’m hoping for the best and hopefully he gets his $
His entire demeanor changes when he talks food. Would love to roll up my sleeves with this man.
Lol Same he sound like he know what he’s talking bout
Bear down baby!
When healthy he's all pro.stay healthy and God bless you and your family.
Frickin love T Jenkins!
Hopefully TJ can stay healthy n get an extension n be here for a long time
TJ, Keep up the work, put that time in bro, Bear Down!!
There aren’t too many NFL guards who can pancake Nick Bosa into the ground… he’s a leader and the foundation of our O line. If he stays healthy? He’s earned an extension…
Teven has been beaten by speed and agility on occasion but I have NEVER seen anyone bullrush him backward one on one.I think LG is his ideal position. ❤
The dude is an All Pro caliber guard when he’s healthy. Hopefully he plays the whole season and makes the bears confident that he’ll be available if they re-sign him.
I love Jenkins. I hope his injury woes are behind him. If you can’t stay on the field you’re simply less valuable
I liked Tevin when he played right guard next to Wright. When he was moved to the left side he didn't do as well.
That's not true. I watched a lot of film on Teven last season because it was so much fun. He's so good. What you probably saw was the difference with the guys next to him when he was on the left. There was one play where he had his man stonewalled at the line but had the awareness that Borom was beaten inside. He came off his guy and pushed Borom's past Fields allowing him to complete a 30 yard TD to Moore. On another play Teven actually blocked two guys on one play to enable a completion! Personally I loved the combination of Jenkins and Wright next to each other, but Teven's equally good on either side.
He was hurt the last part of the season but gutted it out.
The more good news I hear about the Bears the more I'm convinced that something will go horribly wrong.
Caleb crying on TV by week six.
TJ a true big man!🤣🤣 extra cheese on that taco is 🔥🔥🔥
Tevin is a road grader , love seeing him having pancakes on opponents game day !
He had on bad game last year and unfortunately it was against GB.
We Believe in you TJ.
Let's gooo!!!!
He was hurt that game but played thru it.
Don’t tell Tevin but It’s a Torchy’s Tacos 🌮 in Indiana 😂
am i trippin or does teven lowkey sound like poles lol
I can hear it too
Totally agree... great point
After the justin trade, I don't think there's one player in that locker room that trust the bears organization if they will remain a bear after four years
Yeah especially if they only throw for 6,000 yards in 3 seasons and prove that they can't read defenses and throw with anticipation... Oh wait.. That's just JF
@@Bearbully63rdexactly! The issue is Fields can’t read defenses and bails to run 3 years in.
Ugh we got so close to a wendys baked potato follow up smh@ grote
Why would a grown man want to babysit a baby? There’s a reason why we pay people to watch our kids.
Good for you Kevin… It matters, and you can afford to eat better so eat better and don’t eat junk food, too much soda, snacks with so many chemicals and preservatives… Don’t joke about organic.. food matters, just because a lot of you guys eat whatever you want from whatever restaurant you want and don’t care about what you put in your body doesn’t mean it isn’t important. Especially for an athlete, everything matters, preservatives can cause problems, heart problems, cancer, diabetes etc.… all the fast food and soda is dangerous for your health.. and why they give it to children is really puzzling because it’s a terrible habit to start. It’s No better than smoking cigarettes.
It’s no joke. You can’t just eat whatever you want and not get sick. America is the sickest country in the world for a reason, we have more obesity and more health problems than anyone because it’s about money. It’s not about keeping people healthy and teaching them how to eat properly. Cancer is preventable and curable if you have enough food that contains vitamin B 17 a.k.a. amygdalin.. doctors don’t know this because they don’t learn about nutrition, they’re only taught about medicines. My dad was a doctor and my mother is a nutritionist/dietitian and she can prevent more illness and save more lives than a doctor can just teaching people how to eat properly.
You get what you pay for with babysitters, Tev. Don’t go bargain basement w/ Grote.
How do you give big money to a guy that is hurt so much?
Man, just take collagen pills or something and get your f****** tendons right bro
😂😂
collagen pills are worthless, he needs to just take unflavored big scoops of it and lots of red meat
Hope Bears D=IHOPancakes!!
#76 Bear down 👎
Good riddance, Justin. He should switch to DB. I wonder if he still thinks he’s number one.
How bout you go be anything but a bear fan I'd like to know what you do for a living see how good u are at it go be a DB SMFH #🤡
@@tobyhill5784 I’m not a public figure, so it’s none your business what I do.
Comparing a football player, who volunteers to live a public life, to a non-public figure is ridiculous.
Fields has sucked since he started in the NFL. All the experts say how talented he is as a big, physical runner. Running QBs don’t last long. He could be a RB, but he’s probably too tall to be great at that position. I don’t know if he can catch, but he cannot read defenses. So that’s why I suggest a DB/CB. He’s fast and tall and so maybe would make a good CB.
He certainly didn’t earn the ego it takes to wear #1, and no one should wear that number.
Keep crying over him, though. the Bears are better off without him, and the Steelers are worse off with him. They’re going to have him return kicks/punts. What does THAT tell you?
You’re going to be one of those hypocrites that forget all about him once the Bears start winning. Remember this dialogue, hypocrite. I certainly will.
@@Dr.JekyllJF1 is really good about not throwing interceptions and he did it on bears teams that lacked pass blocking and open receivers.. tucking the ball and running is winning football if you’re the best athlete on the field.
Only talking about qb’s is lazy anyway.. football is such a team sport.. 3 years from now whatever stylistic or proficiency differences have emerged between Caleb and JF1 they will pale in comparison to the roster differences.
@@jimcasey3480 I agree with most of what you wrote. I’m pretty steadfast against a QB that resorts to the run so often and also has too many run-first plays. Those QB’s are ”flashes in a pan.” The legendary QBs that played for long periods sit in the pocket and run only when necessary. Of course, they have the skill to read defenses as well, and Justin Fields doesn’t have that skill.
I could not agree more with the rest of your comment. I detest the egotistical and self-centered behavior of modern athletes. One of the best stories I can remember is when Detroit’s big name wide receiver (can’t remember his name, but he’s an analyst and told this story on the air) was doing a lot of celebratory dancing during a Bears game and Urlacher laid a huge hit on him and said, “Do your dance now.” I loved that. Urlacher was the epitome of a humble teammate who led by example, knowing actions speak louder than words (and dancing). Also, I think JF’s selecting #1 as his number shows a little ego that might have exploded if he had more success.
@@Dr.Jekyllall what you just spewed is solely your opinion (which you're entitled to) however it doesn't make it correct that applies to myself and others as well , I just don't understand how anyone can truly say someone couldn't or cant do something., it also eludes to said person has never played the position and or sport !, was he great at reading defense's or anticipatory throws no but remember it's a team sport coaching included I just think Justin was set up for failure all it is nothing against you or anything, furthermore it's the past and let's look forward to this 🐻 team which I'm excited about 🐻⏬
