Doesn't matter IMO. The caliber of player it's the big difference. Shine is still learning(same with smug) where as dieminion is established and has years dedicated into this. On paper if smug can make dieminion look free damn near, shine should've been easy peasy. Smug should be The king if New York not dieminion, Just my opinion.
Aaron Johnson I understand 100% what your saying but it's Dudley. I feel like he was always a good character that was never utilized to his full potential until we saw Smug. Just like gamerbee with Adon at that point in time. The thing that really makes Dudley so dangerous(besides smug just being a beast with him and truly knowing his character) is that his moves have A LOT of priority and any of his moves can pretty much lead into a combo that does crazy damage. Thats why it's so hard to "guess right" all the time because his overhead can lead into a combo, when Dudley hits low leads into a combo, and the massive amounts of counter hits Dudley gets off turns into combos. I don't believe Dudley is cheap but you have to admit it's not just Smugs greatness. For example, a "Great" player can pretty much pick up almost anyone and be dominate because of their understanding of the game(Justin Wong and Diago are perfect examples when they just mess around in casuals with people) but you can't say the same for Smug. Don't get me wrong, he's amazing as a player but do you really think he could pick up another character and still produce the same results? I've seen sets with his 2nd(Fei Long) and he's good, but not Dominate.
Vega is easily Dudley's worst matchup in the game if not then chun li and when smug plays zeus it's a toss up over who wins. It's way more frustrating as a dudley player to deal with chars heavily focused on neutral than it is to deal with dive kicks.
Shine usually beats Smug with Yang. Also it's not a toss up between Zeus and Smug. Zeus wins 60% maybe 65% of the time. And it's only like that because Smug finally started winning again. There was like a 3-4 weeks period where Zeus was not only regularly beating Smug, but the sets were 2-0, 3-0, 3-1, etc.
