People who are against sending soldiers there...are those who sees nothing positive done by government. And in their little minds...South Africa would never need any help from any country ir such things happening in our neighboring countries. Would never here...we don't live in vacuum. South Africa would benefit If we play our part and helping to stabilize and gave peace in DRC...we would not have immigrants coming here looking for better life.
Not forgetting that...we were assisted by some countries to get our freedom roday. Yes it's unfortunate our soldiers are casualties in process and we feel for them and their families
But we need to help our neighbors whenever we can

DRC isn't a neighbor, so your entire point falls flat. Nobody is protesting the deployment in Mozambique, because that conflict could spill over into SA. But why the hell is SA providing most of the troops in DRC, when their neighbors refuse to. Let's also not forget, DRC kicked out the UN. So they are still picky about which blood sacrifice they are willing to accept.
If SA was a military powerhouse, capable of bombing the crap out of the rebels with minimal casualties, fair enough. But we sending our troops woefully unequipped, like lambs to the slaughter, for a war that has no end, and is far away from us...yet the ANC has the nerve to criticize the US for foreign intervention, yet we do the same, but can't even do that properly

DRC is part of SADC and must get help from it's members whenever it needs their help. Go back and learn more about SADC members and stop mentioning USA because is not a heaven, were everybody who die as saints would go to.
And everybody is in good terms with USA or is forced to dance to their tunes
Not all of their enemies are supposed to be our enemies, South Africa is a sovereign state have its own laws rules and guidelines to follow. Some countries especially foreign influences, have hand in destabilizing DRC for their benefits to steal their minerals
So they asked South Africa and other SADC members to help them to stabilize their country, do l really have to say more? But you were supposed to know these or searched for information before you blame president Ramaphosa for deploying soldiers in DRC but you'd still bave reasons to disagree with his decisions. For the Globalist West, the Boer / Afrikaner nation is a danger because we created the economic powerhouse in Africa. With the current situation you are judged based on which side you are - one nation being the perpetual scapegoat to take the blame for the failings of all the others.
How did we get independence? Twice war with the British Empire, then the forming of the Union of South Africa and then the Republic of South Africa. And then the Globalists / entire Liberal West and Communist world teamed up to force the creation of the current fiasco.
