Cool demo, Nik! You really managed to get the Funky-Vibe to its absolute sweet spot with your playing. I went with the 68 recently and don't look back. It kicks butt severely and it's absolutely organic and transparent sounding.

Old Univibes and a delay., It's super dimple. The FUNKY VIBE, is one of my all time favorite gear discoveries. I have two, and can honestly say, if I run my old ones, or the Funky Vibe, I'm happy either way. Nico is the BEST. Became friends with him, over a year ago. That Funky Vibe is completely amazing.

@ The Riff w Nik Sevigny ,awesome playing i love the sounds you have. im new to making my own guitar pedals, i have a lot to learn. i love the univibe pedal but i feel like a lot of people that build them or try to build them end up with something closer to a phaser than a Univibe . i have a couple original Univibe clone PCB builds on the bench right now but i was hoping they dont turn out more like a even sounding phaser vs the uneven warble that the univibe has. i was wondering would it be to much or out of the question for me to ask you for a short video showing me the Sabbadius or the Honey with the light shield off as its running so i can get a look at the photo cell array how its set up around the light bulb and how the light pulses. it would mean the world to me if your able to make that happen . even just a short private cell video would make me very happy . either way i really enjoyed the video and playing thaks for the awesome demo.
Thanks for the comparison. Some Vibes have “it”, some come close, and some don’t. I have a JHS Unicorn V2 that comes close, and is a cool effect, but can’t match the chorus mode of either of these? That tone is dead on Jimi. Playing is great too! Tying into finding your voice post from a couple days ago...that Tone would be really hard to use, with a Strat and not go for a Hendrix style?
i need one of these so bad. been rocking the danelectro chicken salad and tc electronics vicious vibe. they are fine but i dont think they can get close to this
Did you feel a big gap between both? I have a funky-vibe. I have 1959hw amp and original fuzz face 1970 bc108, too. If I want to make a Hendrix sound, should I give up the funky vibe and use the original?
