The Iraqi dialect contains the best pronunciation for Quranic recitation as well. I grew up learning Iraqi Arabic and it came very easy to learn to read
also an iraqi kurd here i grew up with my parents secretly speaking between themselves hoping to learn it so i understand what they say😂 it’s always without a doubt the prettiest dialect to me

I've been married to my Chinese-Indonesian wife for 13 years and the only Iraqi word she learned to pronounce properly is "Nai'iman" after finishing shower. It's really funny the way she pronounce Iraqi words such as "Strip jibab" instead of "Teshreen Dijaaj" which means red chicken soup and Iraqi bread.

My father is Palestinian and as a child I would occasionally say 'ishlonak' to some of his friends and it always threw me not being a fluent arabic speaker always hearing 'kiefak' all the time. Best dialect ever. I have learnt Syrian dialect from refugees. As I was in South Iraq, it was sometimes a bit difficult for me to unterstand people. For instance, one lady asked me about my "juhal". I had not heard this word in my life. She said, she meant children.

Best dialect ever. I have learnt Syrian dialect from refugees. As I was in South Iraq, it was sometimes a bit difficult for me to unterstand people. For instance, one lady asked me about my "juhal". I had not heard this word in my life. She said, she meant children.
That’s interesting. Syrian dialect definilty close to the Iraqi dialect
@@theiraqicouple yes, but some words I definetely heard first time, for instance "taman" for Rice. or "ihwaya" for "Much". I knew only "katheer"
