I actually robbed them a few times (late post game tho!!) But the trick was to have a few pure seeds with you, and be high level enough to survive one or two attacks from them. Also, you always have to check if the stairs are actually far enough away from the store, and contemplate if the stolen items are even worth the hassel. I mean, the pure HORROR of robbing a Keckleon market isn't the strengh of one Keckleon, it's the number they suddenly come in.
During Blue Rescue Team, I accidentally picked up an item, and didn't want it, so I thought it would just take it out of my inventory. Next thing I know, I'm dead. This was inside the volcano dungeon.
I love the unique humorous TH-cam jokes like this. RT Game does a similar thing of "subscribe or else" or "subscribe for more (just an example) toll booths" (during a city building game) Anything that breaks that, "hey I'm just here to make videos for fun" thing TH-camrs do
Challenge: Beat Pokemon Emerald with a completely casual and normal team with no restrictions because you deserve a break from grinding before the first gym

Doing a runthrough with one smeargle sounds really interesting to watch, as it learns sketch every 10 moves to pick out specific moves you'd want. Only problem i can see is getting the ai to use the move you want.

Do a "TM Only Run" What is that? It's a run where your pokemon aren't allowed to learn any moves by level up, you're only allowed to use TM's. Preferably this would be done in a game before gen 5 so you're even more restricted, as each move can only be handed out once. I can't imagine it'd be difficult, it'd just be interesting to try out strange and abnormal movesets on your pokemon alongside the almost item management aspect.
Series idea for your first Pokémon X and Y LP: "Can I Beat Pokémon X?" Everyone thinks it's a typo, and you forgot to include the challenge in the title. It isn't, you're just playing Pokémon X for the first time.

I don’t usually comment, so this is a big deal for me. I’d honestly love to see a Gen 6 challenge because so many interesting Pokemon came out of that game. Beating the game with only a Goomy, or Pumpkaboo, or Flabebe, or Skrelp... the list goes on. Thanks for another great video!

The first shiny i ever found was a level 11 Maril, and the only Pokémon on my team then was a level 63 Charizard. I attempted to use my weakest attack and i one shotted it 0^0
I find these pokemon challenge videos really interesting to watch. Seeing what kind of strategies you come up with to overcome seemingly impossible odds changes this traditional rpg series into something closer to a puzzle game, albeit with more grinding. Got my first pokemon game (pokemon pearl) when I was like ten and didn't get the whole idea of having a so-called 'balanced team' - I basically one-shotted everything with my Torterra and had a great time. Would be awesome if you could do a challenge like that! Been binge-watching your vids for the past month, love what you're doing and hope you've had some rest during the holidays!
These challenge videos are very entertaining as always, however I know they are always going to be winnable before the end based on how this game is. Level dominance is such a strong factor in battles; and when the pokemon is twice the level as the elite four's pokemon, a win is always certain regardless of what pokemon it is.

This reminds me of when I beat Kanto only using a venusaur. Best move being razor leaf 55 damage. And they say bulbasuar is the worst choice smh.I also beat evryone without any grinding...
Venusaur is super effective against the first 2 gyms and resists the third. It's also the strongest of the kanto starters stat wise. I think the only reason people don't like it is because it looks a bit ugly.
"cray-DILL-ee" is the pronunciation used in the anime, so that's a very good bet for the correct one. And once again, I'd like to suggest Black 2 or Whte 2 with a Dunsparce.
Try a challenge with a hard ROM hack, could be a nuzlocke or some other challenge, just think it would be interesting. Fire red Omega is an example of a harder ROM hack you could use
I think GDQ or maybe ESA did a, spinner hell randomizer. Spinners even walk though walls and always look your way. Can't get past them without the menu cheesing, I would love to see MDB try that with a below average stats Pokemon XD
for your algorhythm... you deserve way more views than you get with the amount of time you put into the work you do, even speed runners don't shift their stratagies that often

I think GDQ or maybe ESA did a, spinner hell randomizer. Spinners even walk though walls and always look your way. Can't get past them without the menu cheesing, I would love to see MDB try that with a below average stats Pokemon XD
