Great video but you forgot the extra letters in the Spanish alphabet and the letter r is pronounced as (air-aye no tongue roll) and there is an extra letter after c and L and n and r, the extra r is where you roll your tongue not the first one and the extra n is when you express the a Spanish accent kind of like when you say the word Onion in has a (neuh) sound in the pronunciation
For those English speakers who doesn't know any Spanish, in some cases we use G and J in different ways, and the same happens with C, wich sometimes is K and sometimes is Z. - G-J: If you want the sound of "good", you use G with the next vocal (GA, GO, GU), but if that vocal is E or I you have to put an U between them (GUE, GUI). If you don't do it, people will read it as JE or JI. - C: CA (KA), CE (ZE), CI (ZI), CO (KO), CU (KU). If you want the sounds KE and KI, you use Q with an U between them (QUE, QUI).
I just started learning Spanish today (not for school, for myself :3 ) and this is perfect! I love asmr and now I have a relaxing way to learn instead of stressing out and stuff! Thanks! So happy I found your channel! I have learned so much in one day! :D
FastASMR: May I ask you why you want to learn Spanish, I mean like right now? Me: So I can import and export Cocaine from Columbia to the United States and become a kingpin drug lord like my father Pablo Escobar FastASMR: Ok, thats a good reason, I like that reason :)
It's possible to train rolling the r, because for some people it's really hard to do. For others it's easy. But don't worry, people will understand you without rolling the r :)
For some natives who are confused when she says "uve" (v) and "uve doble" (w) -- the RAE (Real Academia Espanola) or Spanish Royal Academy made "uve" and "uve doble/doble uve" new official ways to say these letters, because "ve" always got confused with "be" (letter b). "Ve"/ ve corta are still correct, but this girl is using a more updated alphabet. La RAE also changed "i griega" to "ye" for the letter y, but I still hear "i griega" being used and taught.
Well I'm from Spain and I see a lot of differences between my Spanish and the Spanish you're showing, which is more "latin American" I'd say. We don't pronounce the Z/Ce/Ci sound like an S, it's a totally different sound. And your LL sound is pretty similar to the Y sound. There's a lot of words we don't usually say like "morado" for purple, instead we say "púrpura/lila", etc. It's a good video actually but I just wanna make a few remarks about the rich linguistic differences between different countries. It's interesting.
I'd love to seem ore of these types of videos- I want to learn some basic conversational Spanish before I head over there next year, and I find these videos super helpful! Thank you so much!! :)
Holly Alice Glad you find them helpful. They are of course primarily meant to relax so from a didactical standpoint they aren't very elaborate, but I'm happy you're still learning something from them. I will make more, btw. It will be a series :)
I'm reading through these comments (I really don't know why) and I see so much hate to you. I think you are wonderful at making videos. You're one of my favorites. Props for ignoring these jerks. Keep doing whatever you want! Its your channel- your videos. If they want to criticize everything you do and try to fix all your mistakes, they shouldn't be watching your channel. Sorry for the rant, but it makes me so angry.
Sweetheart Serenity I actually feel that I get relatively little hate on my videos, I get a troll comment here and there. But I don't take them seriously. :)
Macie Patton it depence, when the r its in the middle but theres only 1 R (bRonce) u pronounce it "soft" just like in english, but when there r 2 R (caRRo) or the R is the first letter of the word (Rabia) then u pronounce it stronger
In (parts of) Europe it's common to get more languages on school than only your own language. I'm from the Netherlands and we get Dutch, English, German and French (+Greek and Latin). At some schools you also get Spanish. I don't say that I'm good in all that languages😜
¡¡Hola!! I like your Spanish ,you does very good , i watch others asmr and it is ............. is Fantastic .
You have such a lovely voice, thank you so much for your vídeos and by the way I have never watched one of your vídeos complete!
Hey um a few questions 1)will we ever see your face 2)will u do a Q&A and keep up the awesome vids you are very good at asmr's so keep up the vids thanks ;)
quentin trainor I'm doing q&a's in English, Spanish, and German, under my most recent ear to ear whisper (either the one in English, Spanish or German) you can leave a question in the comments and I'll try to answer it in the next video :)
I'm here pretty late but whatever (': I'm a finnish person trying to learn Spanish, because my cousin lived in Spain and her boyfriend is from there (: The alphabets are very easy for me, cause they sound almost the same as in finnish language :D
Huh. I didn't know that the names of all Spanish vowels are pretty much the same as their counterparts in Indonesian. Some of the consonants also sound similar, if not exactly the same. Came here to relax, ended up learning new things, so thanks! :D
W in Spanish is actually "doble u/oo" like English. You only did one "r" - there's two different spanish "r"s, long and short (short does not roll the tongue as much), and usually when learning the Spanish alphabet you include both, first short then long. So you would say the short "r", then the long "r" when listing the alphabet. When saying words, you always used the long "r" when some words actually require the short "r". These words do sound different than pronounced here.
In Spain i was taugh "Uve Doble". Since she's from Germany she was probably taught the Spanish way of saying things. Kinda how in Spain we say "Zumo" and in Latin America they say "Jugo" for juice. So she's not wrong at all.
In some places like Puerto Rico we call w "doble u"*, not "v doble". Literally doble u just like in english. FastASMR: May I ask you why you want to learn Spanish, I mean like right now?
Me: So I can import and export Cocaine from Columbia to the United States and become a kingpin drug lord like my father Pablo Escobar
FastASMR: Ok, thats a good reason, I like that reason :)
It's Colombia
Why not go to Mexico? Save you some gas 😂
joder que gran iDEA
You spelled Colombia Wrong
Lol 😂😂😂
I didn't do well with Spanish, and to this day I still can't roll my R's, 38 years old now. Gave up long ago on the rolling of the tongue.
It's possible to train rolling the r, because for some people it's really hard to do. For others it's easy. But don't worry, people will understand you without rolling the r :)
hehe ;)
You can practice it by doing kinda car sounds, I'm a native Spanish speaker and my mom taught a boy who couldn't roll his r's that way, it helped
Muy buen video. En Argentina llamamos a la "V" ve y a la "W" doble ve.
Yes, this is how I learned it, I've never heard it pronounced her way
pikap864 same. That always confuses me
Ur video is soo tingly and calming!
I was having anxiety for like 3 months now and this really help❤️❤️thank you soo much
Useful words in Spanish to use in Spain:
-Siesta
-Paella
-Salmorejo
-Fiesta
-Playa

Good for you!! :)
The important thing is that we have we can understand each other through the same romance language
It happens with american and british accents some word are totally differents

You make that tounge roll on the R sound so easy.. It's not, it's not lol
Keenan C. It really is with enough practice
It is really easy, but maybe it's because were german.
It's still more simple than the German or the French r, I still have problem with the first one (I never tried the second) 😧
Jajajajaja son muy tiernos
Qué bien pronunciada la erre.

Thought you were only supposed to roll the "r" when its a double r like in "arriba" or "carro"
Macie Patton The sound "rr" is also used when the "r" is at the beginning of the word. For example: rana, roca, rápido, Roma, etc.
Macie Patton it depence, when the r its in the middle but theres only 1 R (bRonce) u pronounce it "soft" just like in english, but when there r 2 R (caRRo) or the R is the first letter of the word (Rabia) then u pronounce it stronger

Haras uno de español aprendiendo aleman?
Amazing!! Thanks for the lesson :p
You're welcome, potato lol :D
W in Spanish is actually "doble u/oo" like English. You only did one "r" - there's two different spanish "r"s, long and short (short does not roll the tongue as much), and usually when learning the Spanish alphabet you include both, first short then long. So you would say the short "r", then the long "r" when listing the alphabet. When saying words, you always used the long "r" when some words actually require the short "r". These words do sound different than pronounced here.
Watched to the end and you do distinguish between the "r"s, but you did not include it in your alphabet? But I'm glad you included the double r sound.
In Spain i was taugh "Uve Doble". Since she's from Germany she was probably taught the Spanish way of saying things. Kinda how in Spain we say "Zumo" and in Latin America they say "Jugo" for juice. So she's not wrong at all.
You should do a part two :)

The rolling in the "R's" are a bit excessive don't ya think? But what do I know right? 😂

In some places like Puerto Rico we call w "doble u"*, not
"v doble". Literally doble u just like in english.
*in Spanish by "doble u" I mean: doh-bleh ooh. I'm trying to use phonetic writing.
Sorry for any mistake in my English. I'm out of practice.
there's a lot of people who call it doble v though. Throughout most of my life I've always heard people say "Doble v" (do ble ooh ve).
I've always heard Double U (Doh-bleh Ooh)
