Story: Katsuki walked through the streets, rain pouring down around him. Only a hoodie covered his head from the water, and it didn’t do much. The world was silent, nothing reaching the teen’s ears. The rain drops, his footsteps, the distant sound of cars, everything was made of silence.
Katsuki had only been living in his silent world for a month but it felt like it had been an eternity. He’d had a lot of time to think over everything. His new life, UA, his future. His dad. The teen hadn’t heard from his father in years, even before being abandoned. Just one day, his dad left. Mitsuki never talked about him, it was like he never existed. But Katsuki knew he did, and it had weighed on his mind for years. Now that he was near adulthood, he could pursue him, find out why his dad left and maybe build a relationship with his parent. Not like Katsuki still contacted Mitsuki. He hadn’t told anyone but Deku, sending him a text before he left. He had packed a bag with his few belongings and clothes and then set out, not caring that it was raining. Then it’d be less likely a classmate would see him.
Katsuki trekked on through the downpour, trying to focus on the vibrations from his footsteps instead of the world. All of a sudden another set of vibrations joined his, and he quickly realized it was another person running up behind him. Katsuki looked behind him, seeing Deku running after him. Deku looked to be shouting, though of course the blonde couldn’t hear that. The greenete stopped just before Katsuki, doubling over as he caught his breath.
This let Katsuki see that Deku was holding something. A plastic bag from a store and a small brown box. After catching his breath Deku stood up straight, holding out the items to Katsuki with a smile. The blonde grabbed them, quickly beginning to study the brown box.
It was just barely bigger than his palm, and had rounded edges. A sticky note with writing on it was attached to the box, reading:
“Hearing Aids :)”
Katsuki stared at the note, either in shock or happiness. He looked up at Deku, who was still smiling, as the blonde put the hearing aids on. Immediately the sound of rain was brought to his ears. The teen couldn’t help but close his eyes to listen. The sounds of the distant cars, rain drops, wind. He could hear it.
Katsuki opened his eyes and looked at Deku with a shocked expression mixed with sadness. He’d done this.. for him? Why? Why, after everything Katsuki had done to him, did he use his money to get him hearing aids..?
Katsuki felt tears welling up in his eyes, but he didn’t try to hide them. The rain would surely help in that, but Deku cried more than anyone else he knew, so it wouldn’t be weird to him.. right? Katsuki put a hand to his mouth as tears slipped down his face, the sound of the rain around him so peaceful.
He could hear, and it was beautiful.

‼️The way the hearing aids work may not be 100% correct‼️
I do try to do research, and make Katsuki’s hearing loss as realistic as I can, but it may not all be accurate. I apologize, but it’s also not my intention for this to be super realistic (I mean cmon it’s a whole world with powers does that sound realistic to you??)
Also, I’m not sure where the storyline will go after this, I’m not even sure if I’ll continue this series at all. This idea of Katsuki going to look for his dad was suggested by one of my followers (I’ll update this later with an exact name dw) but it took me a long time to work myself up to finishing the video and posting it. I think I have two videos now that are complete but are just sitting in my video storage-
Anyways let me know if y’all have any ideas for the storyline, because I’d love to continue this series for as long as I can! I hope y’all have an awesome day/night ❤️
