I'm in awe of your creativity! In particular, I like how you incorporated fabric throughout the pages to give them a distinct, tactile quality that was quite inspiring. Your demonstration of a rubbing process with vintage stamps was a fantastically original way to use the stamps. I appreciate you taking us along on your art journaling adventure; your insights have inspired me to experiment with similar methods.
Nice!! A more grown-up and refined way to do a popular grade school art class technique. So beautiful and nostalgic to me. I’m totally going to give it a go ❤
I hope Toby didn’t bite the gardener’s ankles 😂🥰 I love that quote with the bird, it’s made a gorgeous tag, on the background you choose for it as well! 🥰💜🧚♀️
Thanks PF. He just sat at the windows barking at him 😆. He’s not allowed off leash in our garden as there are too many routes of escape! Hope you had a good Easter 💕
Well, I have to say that the bird amazed me! It is PERFECT with the backgrounds you made earlier. Love it and I am always smiling when watching your videos. Thank you so much Nina! Janet 💕
What a beautiful tag/page Nina. I now have all kids of ideas running around in my head. Thank you, I hope Toby giving you some free time to craft, have a wonderful day.
I'm glad you showed stamps. In your first video, that was my immediate thought: that I have some amazing stamps, and I would need to experiment and see if those worked. They turned out beautifully!
You are so very talented! I love all your ideas, and rubbing over a stamp is so very clever! The look you got is fabulous! Thank Toby for me. He gave you just enough time to inspire others. TFS. 🙏🐰🥰
Hi Nina: This tag looks gorgeous in your journal! The bird really stands out with this clever technique against your gorgeous background. The page with the butterfly is stunning. You are so creative and I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing. 💜😎🇺🇸
Ohhh! I like the effect of this with the stamps rather than using the regular way!… I always forget to use mine, but maybe this way I might get some use out of them 😁.x
Hello Nina, TYFS your wonderful ideas on using these mediums. I would have never thought that, I'm always willing to learn! 🤗 Take care, and see you soon
Love this page Nina. It’s always good to see how to use the background pages you make. I never thought of using stamps for rubbing, great idea, thank you 💜💜
Hello nina, happy Easter....Hope you will have a good day. I enjoyed a sundaybrunch with jeroen, vera and joke, dear friends of mine. It is now six o'clock and your video is a good end for this day.Loved your tag and how the pages matched so beautifully. After last sundays video I remembered I had a book with wallpaper with reliëfs (??) So time for frottage and I also made a tag. I am in between journals and tags are a nice in between activity.. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you soon again. Send you a "easterhug" , love and kisses lenaxxx
Hello Lena, Happy Easter to you too. Glad you had a nice time with your friends. We have been in Plymouth with family and took Toby with us. He had a great time on the beach yesterday and was off lewd for the first time. Your wallpaper book will be perfect for this, so enjoy. Sending love and kisses to you too 💕 xxxx
Thank you so much Nina, that’s really really cute and adorable too. I really really enjoyed watching you create this amazing tag, and you just have the knack for putting thing’s together beautifully and cohesively too. I really really love ❤️ this, and it gives us more ideas again for getting backgrounds too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags (give Toby a smooth from me, he’s so adorable)
What a lovely tag. The page looks so pretty in the journal and I love that you use acetate for the pocket so that the whole tag is visible. thanks for the inspiration and happy Easter
Creative, fun, and very doable. You're inspiring... I did a background using stencils and will definitely try this latest rubbing technique. Thanks, Nina.
Happy Easter Nina. Thank yo for a great tutorial. This is amazing, and it goes beautifully with your fab backgrounds that you made last week. I still haven't gotten around to doing this yet, but am free tomorrow, so I'm getting out all my stencils and stamps. Take care, xx
Thanks Cheryl. Hope you are having a good Easter too. We went down to Plymouth to see family and it was wonderful. Took Toby with us and he loved it on the beach 💕
This is brilliant!! I have a large wood mounted stamp, I've had trouble getting a good impression using it with an ink pad. I used it with a crayola and it worked wonderfully!
Thank you so much for sharing this great idea! If I use a wax crayon I should be able to use watercolour without smearing the picture. So many possibilities! I have stamps that don't leave a great impression but for this kind of usage they'll be wonderful. I didn't want to throw them away, and now they get a new life 🙂 Happy Easter 🥰
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Thank you for pointing this out; I would've been disappointed had I used my watercolour paper. Since I like the look of "bathed" paper it should work. Now I'll have to to some "scientific research" with different kinds of paper AND different kinds of colour 🙂🌹
I don't know if you've ever tried it but you can paint your whole bird with the brushes and they if you have a set of brushes those really soft brushes and they just look beautiful you know the soft ones and use your inks
I used 3 types of paper for the backgrounds: regular copier paper, deli paper, and rice paper. Here’s the link to the video: th-cam.com/video/CVulvtQBD6g/w-d-xo.html

Yes, you just need to be careful of pilling as this will only work with thin paper 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Thank you for pointing this out; I would've been disappointed had I used my watercolour paper. Since I like the look of "bathed" paper it should work.

Great stuff Nina , plz say what the sheer type papers are bcuz they are sheer yet also look quite sturdy, thanx p3ace!
I used 3 types of paper for the backgrounds: regular copier paper, deli paper, and rice paper. Here’s the link to the video: th-cam.com/video/CVulvtQBD6g/w-d-xo.html
🙂👍
❤️
What type of glue did you use to attach the pocket?
👍👏😍
Can these be done with Gelatos?
Hi Vicky, I think Gelato’s would probably be too soft, but it’s always worth a try as you never know 💕
👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜
❤️
Do you know the other meaning of Frottage?
Oh heck! I just went and looked it up 🙈🙈😂…ooohh errr!
The old French root word is frote which means to chaffe, so frottage probably means to rub or chaffe.😊
Great video, thank you very much for the inspiration! 🌟🌟🩷🌟🌟
