It’s extremely sad to see that only jughead showed up and no one even texted or anything. I always see people describing jug as the loyal friend in the group and this continues to prove it, from him sticking by Betty side even she did some pretty bad things, to protecting Archie, to almost dying for the serpents to being the only one who showed up for the reunion. The writers need to give him a break
Filming got shut down do to covid so this was intended to be the last episode of season 4 it’s also the reason FP has been in the start of the season he announced he wasn’t coming back to the show that’s why he left to take jellybean back to his moms and jugg couldn’t go because that is there way of writing him off from the show
gosh agreed. I'm a big varchie fan as I enjoy the writing of their relationship more, but cole and lili have and continue to have WAY more chemistry... I feel like for pretty obvious reasons. I was a little nervous after their breakup but as it seemed they were still pretty cordial I ddin't think it would affect their chemistry as "bughead" and I don't think it has one bit in the episodes filmed since their breakup. but the raw "I still love you" did feel a little more real than in character.

I know they can be professional and work together but I don’t really want them to have to especially since there’s other things they could do like Barchie. I just can’t imagine my job being that I have to kiss and be romantic with the guy I just broke up with. That would blow. For heartbreak scenes it works real well cause it’s real and anger is fine but the other stuff... it’d be a hard pass for me ha

I'm no actor (and I personally think Lili is a fantastic actor, one of the better ones on the show personally) but I have at least an ex or two that I could still show this type of emotion with. I wouldn't (or more like couldn't cause we just aren't meant ) wanna be with them in real life but I could "act" like lili and cole do... and they are legit professional actors so i'm sure it's easier.... probably not always fun, but if emotions aren't a huge issue, its probably still more enjoyable/comfortable or easier to act with someone you have a good relationship with than someone else.

Is like with legacies ( the vampire diaries and the originals spin off) the had to mix season 2 with season 3 because of covid 19 the first 4 episodes of season 3 are actually the last 4 episodes of season 2.
It irks me so much that veronica, betty and archie left jughead hanging one year later like that. I know things were a little weird for all of them at the end, but the pure no communication, no seeing each other and totally flaking on the reunion not only the next year, but the next 6 years as well.. idk it didn't sit well with me. I guess I might forget about it when they are all back together "7 years later" but I hope they apologize for flaking on jug head 😂❤️
It dosen't surprise me really as many of my friends and relatives barely keep in touch , we only barely keep track of each other through Facebook and Instagram , still 7 years is far too long.

Im just so surprised, they already forgot within a year, and that no one was in contact in any way by then. I know it was for the storyline , but why didn't jughead text them and ask if they were coming... they literally went no contact like almost immediately :(

This reminds of a scene on glee. The glee characters made a promise too, that they too should meet each other somewhere, every year like the Riverdale gang said. Only Kurt Hummel showed up those times, just like jughead. Kurt was mad too like jughead was. Sometimes I think Riverdale mirrors glee at times. If u r a true fan, u understand why I said that.

I mean, yeah you can promise eachother alot at that age but most of the time people move on until they are kinda like forced to live among eachother again for reconnection to happen. It's weird but, I understand how it works even tho it's too sad.

that's why i'm really curious how this show is going to do going farther, because yeah they were high schoolers solving mystery's i would even like it if they had them going to college solving things, but as adults that's just being a detective a normal job
idk .. i kind of feel sad seeing them grown up, we see that they have changed, that they are not those young people anymore, they are not as friends as before ... and i cry a lot when i see mainly jughead. he always felt sad in season 1 because the fp was always drinking a lot or partying ... but he became a fp, even worse if we compare, i miss that jughead with that stupid hat, always eating hamburgers and wearing the jacket snakes :( i hope the old and the good jughead is still inside him, PLEASE ROBERTO BRING OUR JUGHEAD BACK !!!!!!

They could’ve added these three episodes to season 4 and it would be a 22 episode season. It would’ve felt just right to end season 4
