I’m Punjabi but got married with a Tamil ( in France).I didn’t know that he will be a psycho patient. He asked me very friendly that if I had a boyfriend before marriage, I said “yes”. Only this word changed my life. He punished me however he could do, physically, mentally, financially. I thought he will change but never. I was pregnant and he said that this is not my child. That sentence finished everything. I waited sometime, when my child was 6 months old, I left his house and went to police station directly.

Doubtlessly, after hearing various painful outpourings of ladies on your platform, I feel convinced that their men were and are true rascals and women did not have any role in their misfortunes. (and this perhaps is the case of most ladies). Marriage thus seems the root cause of all problems between men and women. To stem that won't it be worthwhile that marriages be banned altogether by law so that no man or woman suffers the ill effects of Marriage. If adults, in such a scenario decide to live together let them be and law need not come in between and instead they walk out of each other's unwelcome company without any lien or draw up a comprehensive contract which they may face in their future liaison, in case of any issues; resolve these through courts. If it brings relief to society from everyday pain and dilatory court proceedings, it could have its positives. Why make peoples' lives miserable putting them in straitjackets as if they are prisoners.

Parents should always support their daughter in such situation. I can't understand why women are asked to accept such violent behaviour from their husband.
Actually elder women advise younger women to tolerate and deal with all this. My mom advise my sister to tolerate such things even though she is a financially independent and earning very well The reason behind that if she gets divorce their social status will be lowered.

If husband is working and the wife isnt, the women should get a clear part of the income to run the household and herself within the income bracket.

I got inspired by you.. again on one dark day he hit me badly n i just saved from his attack otherwise i would have killed. i went to police station n logged a complaint against him.. The biggest irony is that they all want a traditional man to take care of them but they themselves don't want to be traditional wives.
