Just one question for GM Jokic who saw Russ as a great Nugget when no one else did: why haven't you identified an impactful big to spell you who Nuggets can pick up for nothing like Russ? :)
Not to take anything from Russ, but everyone always plays great with Jokic, he has the ability to elevate anyone he plays with. In the 2022 season during his 2nd MVP he had 11-12 teammates who played significant minutes but were completely out of the league within the next year or 2, yet he carried them to the winning % of a 60 win team in the games he played. I don't see how anything is going to prevent Jokic from winning another MVP when he's averaging 31, 14 and 9.5 on 54% and 49% from 3! This would put him above Larry Bird, Magic and Moses Malone and in a category with Wilt Chamberlain and Lebron with 4 MVPs. Only Bill Russell and Michael have more than that.
Calvin Booth should ask Joker who's the player he can get for 2031 1st unprotected, seems like he knows better what he need than GM. Zeke, Šarić and 2031 1st unprotected should be the package. Go and ask the man.
oh how much it must hurt ESPN and all the haters to have to listen to all the Jokic MVP talk again. it's almost like Jokic has made it his mission to continue to elevate his game so there is no question about who the boss is. the guy that supposedly" "doesn't care" about basketball sure finds a way to continue improving his game in the off-season while it takes Murray half the season to get started.
I’m convinced sports media, specifically Skip and Shannon, were actively trying to end Russ’ career when he was with the Lakers. Criticism is one thing, but I vividly remember Shannon saying Russ was “the pretty girl you took to prom but got fat” or something crazy like that 😂 They used to be WILD disrespectful and then it stopped the day he went to the Clippers. Shady. Even the props he gave in this video had sprinkles of shade lmao
You can say "Russ don't shoot this shot". Dude was 7-7 with 16 points last night.
Why are people so surprised that Russ and joker playing great?
Russ makes all big man look great. Adam, big Zu, Capella, and whoeve rhat center was with the wizards lol
I would make Russ play more with jokic and Murray more with the bench and porter jr
I have a feeling they're going to trade MPJ for some defensive help.
Is someone holding a gun to Shannon’s head off camera?
😂
Big O is the OG triple double king, not Russ
Im a Celtics fan but if we dont go back to back then i want to see Denver win it just to see Westbrook who is my sons favourite player win a title
Hope Russ gets a ring in Denver. If they win, it would be a bigger achievement for Jokic. Doing something LeBron and KD couldn’t do.
These commentators just don't know how backwards they look. One minute they hate on the man, and the next singing his praises. Proof that people will kick you when you're down, and have no answers to help get you up.
Sharpe is a Russ hater, man said he wasn’t good work clippers. He was the only one doing good that year.
heard that before...
First game in 30+ years where 3+ players on a team have 10+ assists.
No defense 😂😂😂
Russ is still in his prime, don't get fooled by all this false narratives about him.
260 points lol. No defense.
This team needs consistent defense
I'm late to the party is Jamal Murray injured or something
Jokic 36 22 11
I am happy for Russ 😊
imagine paying someone $2.5m who is worth at least $20m and paying someone $50m that is worth at most $20m.
Why are ppl not talking about Steph’s game aging the way they would with Bron ?
I wanna know where all them Zion fans that was telling me idk basketball because he was going to play 70 games this season 😂
Shannon, you were among those who vocally criticized and shamed Russ each night, contributing to the negative sentiment that prompted Lakers fans to make disparaging remarks not only about Russ but also regarding his family. Now, see how he is thriving in Denver. During his tenure with the Lakers, fans, yourself included, unfairly displayed a lack of respect towards Russ and his family. Every defeat the Lakers suffered was attributed to him, to the extent that his career was on the verge of ending had he not departed LAL. Now, you have no choice but to sing his praises.
