    Oh, to be edited by either of the editors on that stage......to get to that point. "Infinite Jest" was the first work DFW took an advance on, so I'm sure he felt a combination of excitement and dread at that prospect. This is a unique video for the info given on the author/editor relationship....we all think we know what that relationship is, but it's great to hear the professionals explain it. And the DFW stories are great. Thanks!

    Блин, я вот вообще не удивлена, что в его гараже было жутко. Стены его офиса в Бостонском вузе, где он работал преподавателем, были выкрашены в грёбаный чёрный цвет. Готично.

      Being a voice of Gen X some mistook his depression for just being edgy probably like Grunge music or something they expect talented people are without problems if they think their own problem is lack of talent of course there is just added expectations and social pressures with any sort of fame. He may have had personal problems with his marriage too not just career writer's block etc.
