So your comment on my fb post from Roswell a couple of weeks ago -- that was one of your last interactions of fb? What an honor! As a matter of fact, it was a DNK tune that the dealer wiped that day...I had used DNK's mail-in option.
Yeah. My issues with them was not so much about their product... it was about their customer service and transparency of that product. My experience with them was complete crap, horrible. However, my last interaction with them was much better. I feel like they are headed in a better direction, and my dealing with Danielle's wife, was night and day different than my former dealings with her customer service person or Danielle herself.
But yes, the conversation sparked by your post, is what got me in touch with her and I think we might have come to a much better place, now... Of course I haven't used them for a tune as I am Triumph-less at the moment... Hence my "tentative" thumbs up... but I would give them a chance next time around and see how things go.
@@SquireSCA after getting the gear sensor replaced and back to stock, I asked DNK to send me my file, which they did. I've reloaded their tune and much happier now. I would call my customer service experience a B/C, or a bit bland. Not bad, just not great.
@@daveedwards2963 I can settle for bland. I don't need a red carpet rolled out for me, although that would be nice and fancy... haha I just want my questions answered, and the product delivered as promised, so that I can get on with my day.
I have a DNK tune for my ‘19 speed twin. It always felt off, or not fully right. Maybe I’ll give them a shout now if the CS seems better. I was just out today on it and came looking to see if others had my problem.
I just bought a tune off them which I will flash tomorrow, and I only bought the tune because I sent them loads of emails with questions and they were very patient and answered me properly. So from my experience I'd say they seem to focus on customer service now.
I’m glad you have been able to square away your differences with them . Sad part is there C.S is horrible and I been dealing with them for three weeks and they screwed up my bike with there tune and they won’t answer or help in any shape or form they went dark on me . They robbed me $414 and they just took my money . They did the same being combative and condescending not willing to help or answer any questions.I’m going to make a video myself on my experience with them.
While i am willing to pay $500 or more for a map made for my bike, I wont pay $250 for a template map created using TuneECU. It is just creating one map and selling it to everyone without knowing what that bike does inside. Your original decision was perfect, it made me work myself to create a map for my bike and it runs awesome. Thank you for it :)
I'm a little late to the party, and was ready to buy the DNK tune for my '22 Speed Twin. I've watched all of your videos on this bike, thanks! How do I get a copy of your 2nd gear wheelie tune?
I saw your previous video after I had exchanged an email and a half with them in regards to a Trident I owned briefly. Is there any else that does Triumph tunes?
Not here in the US that I know of. Here is what I would do. Reach out to DNK, ask to speak to Amelie... Reach out to her on FB if you have that, and tell her I sent you: facebook.com/webjedi Tell her what you need and see what she suggests. Give her an opportunity to earn your business. If she doesn't, then we will look for something else. If your interaction with her gives you confidence, then buy from them. Costs you nothing to reach out to her directly and see what she has to say.
Yeah their communication and service sucks. It’s almost like they are trying to avoid business. They should look at 550 Performance as an example of how to run a tuning business. I have a T100 and will avoid getting a tune with DNK. I gave them a shot via email, but I can’t do business with people like them.
Transparency is key. A dyno run with their tunes and numbers to go off would be great. Your video and the forums were what stopped me from getting their tune.
Yeah, I mean... If a company fucks up and treats you bad, call them out on it. But if they change how they do things and make it better... I mean, what more can you ask, really? So credit to them for working with people and turning things around.
Yeah, I felt it was fair to share the update. I haven't actually used them yet, but if I had a Triumph I would give them a try, and a chance to prove themselves...
Why not use your own tuners then? I downloaded mine today from DNK and it was a complete game changer with the mods I made/ shits amazing. Hope you all sort your issues.
Well, I have been. At the time I was trying to save myself the cost, time and wear and tear of getting my bike to the dyno... I figured if someone had already done the work, I would go that route. In the end, due to my experience at the time with them, that is what I ended up having to do...
It still sounds mysterious to me. I was quite disappointed with my tune from DNK for my Tiger 660 Sport. I thought their effort to create a good tune was with minimal effort and poor results. After seeing many of your videos, I created my own tune which I think gets close enough to a dyno tune for me. It concerns me when you said they are buying bikes to make better tunes. This tells me there would be a selective set of bikes that they will put max effort and for the rest, you still get minimal effort and results. How would one know what you purchase? Good customer service would give software updates for the refinements. Apple and android do this all the time so it’s a proven model. Personally, I would not give DNK any more of my business. I think they took advantage of me and I know with some of your video information I’ve created a far superior tune as compared to DNK. That’s my 2 cents worth.
All valid points and concerns. As my primary issue with them was how they interacted with me, my update and seeming reversal of that stance was based on the customer service aspect. In my video, and to them directly, I did give my advice on how they could be more transparent with regards to what is in a tune, did it come from a dyno, what do the dyno charts look like, etc...
I am on the same boat as you are... Got the Trident 660 DNK Tune (same as the Tiger 660) and sure enought there was some improvement on the bike's throttle response and the low RPM fueling. Because I had noticed an increase in consumption in my daily commuting (nothing crazy) and I was planning a big roadtrip so any increase would add up, I loaded the stock map back on. Went about on my trip, had an accident (fell into the sea...) end of roadtrip. Longstory short, bike finalised and updated from factory with the latest map and guess what? Throttle response was much better than stock and very similar to the DNK tune. Got the new MAP sensor/hose assembly from recall and now bike is fabulous. Smooth throttle and no lag and plenty of power. And now I am wondering, how can I get more? I am curious if you would be comfortable sharing your hex to compare with my current stock map to see what/if I could improve on my own
Hey Dave, long time I don't post comments, but this time I should, I think that if you go back to that video when you spoke about your opinion you will see that you DID NOT go full Karen, it was an opinion, an opinion based on your experiences, so no, not Karen. Whatever is said changed, there is no way to experience it unless you are a "new customer" if you know what I mean, because at this point you will not get the same experience than a customer due to what happened. Also go check their Google reviews, still having dissatisfied customers on tune / ECU stuff.
True, and I still stand by how I was treated, at that time. Inexcusable. However, it was almost 2 years ago, and so if they are making a real effort to make things better, I feel like I should give credit where credit is due. Rest assured, if I see or experience more of what I got back then, I will not be nice about it. haha

To be fair, the map that Triumph put in there is a template map, the doesn't take into account any internal variances that exist from bike to bike...

Iowa USA. Motone slip on’s cat delete, X pipe, snorkel delete on the airbox. The O2 sensors are still there.
