Centerpoint will do what they have spent the last 3 decades practicing - too little, too late. 😤 I've stockpiled some extra wood for the fireplace. Fortunately, this will not last as long nor be as cold as four years ago. 🥶
Now lets watch all the idiots who were told to stay at home go outside just to be in the snow and crash all over the city... yall cant drive in these conditions stay yall asses home...
I'm also out in Texas right now near the Houston area and we're not all flat there are hills there are mountain ranges maybe not near Houston per se but this is a Texas is completely flat would be wrong. I've lived in Copperas Cove, which is known as the Five Hills for example, and is a smaller mountain range area. In my opinion schools should be closed for at least Tuesday with a late start Wednesday, where I'm located in Fort Bend ISD which is next to Houston and our district won't do anything until Houston does so no one will probably know anything until late Monday or Tuesday morning unfortunately as thats how it usually happens; if it's bad enough I'll just keep my kiddo home as they catch a bus to school.
Why do we have to see power outages. Power doesn’t go out in other areas that always experience snow. Get it together people come on. But my kids are so excited to see snow!!
Ice becomes heavy causing down limbs, trees and electric lines ! Thus causes electrical outages. Snow rarely causes outages unless massive accumulation 🤷🏼♀️
@@scarter8137but you also have to remember that Texas has a very shitty independent power grid on top of which in Texas any time a squirrel pisses on a line a whole neighborhood loses power

The driving...on the highways and towering overpasses, the worst. West Virginia, following a massive snowplow over the mountains for 25 miles was interesting. Kids here in Houston will have the rare snow day. 🌨

@armaletalia3254 You know the power going out. The question is for how long?

they can't even drive in normal conditions 🤣

Excellent job explaining the snow sleet etc. Thank you.
I'm watching this from Nashville. Yall got this. It's all flat land out there in Texas. Just be glad yall dont have to worry about hills.
🙏
You would think it would be that simple. Houstonians can’t drive in GOOD weather, sooo… yeah… I’m from there so i can say that.

Tomorrow or monday will get a new update , this might become the second 2021 winter storm. Deep freeze.
I hope not
Either this is a nothing burger or this, infact, is the next 2021
Not even close to that
No, not like 2021. It will get bitter cold but we are getting relief by higher temps during day above freezing.

How do people in the northern States deal with this? Appears we can't
Why is the purple color over houston not even showing up on The color scale? I see green, blue, pink, red, white… but no purple
