I’m reading a lot of anger towards Sheldon, and I don’t disagree that he gets his way nearly all the time with everyone unfairly, however I think these moments are being overlooked - 2:05 - 2:11 2:35 - 2:47 Ironic that Penny told Leonard not to allow Sheldon to boss him around but then she did the same thing essentially - not exactly bossed him around but Leonard only chose the dining table because Penny liked it and was happy not because he liked it. Double standard hypocrisy from both of them, especially Penny. The issue is that Leonard has no trouble standing up to Sheldon and complaining about him doing that to him, but Penny does the same thing and even things that Sheldon doesn’t do to Leonard and he gladly gives into and takes it from her because he cares about getting laid by her. At least Sheldon is consistent with his actions and decisions on purpose and not to get sex out of it from them. Leonard also only gave up in the end because Penny told him to, yet Sheldon’s the only one who’s blamed for being too controlling when Penny has asserted dominance over Leonard too that he just allows because he gets sex if he enables her.
Before people say it’s his autism let me just say I’m on the high end of the spectrum, and I’ve graduated high school, am majoring in welding and automotive technology, was in ROTC, pay taxes, work a job, own a business, and drive and maintain a car at 19 so not all of us are like this, I do mind change sometimes but I keep it to myself for the most part, because I don’t want to upset my friends and family. Their happiness matters a lot to me. I still have a lot of autistic quirks but I’ve learned to live with them and control them.
I'm also on the high functioning end of the spectrum. I managed to serve in the Air Force and got a college degree. My friends accept me as I am, and understand when I need to withdraw for a day or two.

In all the years they dined at Leonard and Sheldon's apartment, Raj never thought to take Leonard's chair at his desk and sit on it. He sat on the floor because he wanted 😂
Actually as the series wore on, the Leonard Penny dynamic actually grew more toxic . They were constantly putting each other down 👎 and in all likelihood Penny actually turned out more mean than Loveable. As for Leonard he came off looking like a wuss . It's sad that the show could have actually done a lot more with Leonard and Penny in their own spinoff series with Bernadette and Howard and Raj .
at the end it’s like they decided to become total idiots by going back to the front. Made no sense how Penny would just back out of telling Leonard to stand up. Bernadette shouldn’t even feel bad for Sheldon because of his childishness. Howard also had no reason to go back since he never really gets along with Sheldon, and Raj shoulda stood his ground not caring that it wouldn’t be the same without him.
The Sheldon type can best be pursuaded with order and structure: Dining on the couch is okay as long as there is no dining table. Because dining tables are meant for dining. A couch always will be a makeshift solution because it is not meant for that sort of thing. Holding the plates in your hand increases the risk of making something dirty wheras an the table everything has its place. They never brought that up. Instead they offered no reason at all and only promoted change based on some impulse - which is exactly how NOT to handle the Sheldon type.
You know, after watching young sheldon and rewatching the big bang theory, it really does help understand Sheldon's character in moments like this where it involved change. Change is a negative experience for him cause of his dad's death. Afterwards he tries his hardest to keep things constant because he can't face the results of the change. So while its annoying when he has moments like these were he is complaining about it, it also is pretty sad cause you know why he is so stubborn about keeping things at a constant.
How is balancing the plat of food in your hand or lap better than a table. Mechanics & Probability would suggest you are more likely to tip your food on to your lap
Although i understand its difficult living with a person on the autism spectrum, it is harder for the person who has the autism. Trust me i know. Life to an autistic person is filled with crippling anxiety and we can’t handle the unknown and situations that are unexpected or out of our control which is why we like to take some control back in the form of having an assigned spot on the couch. Comfort foods, certain comfort tv shows etc… it makes our world feel more calm and less hectic. I’m pretty sure by me saying this y’all will still not get how it is to be autistic but its not easy. We also can develop severe overthinking as a child because we wanna be “prepared” for every single outcome so we can prevent unexpected events from happening and thus not having emotional meltdowns when it doesn’t go as planned. I just found that out now at age 22 and i am working on getting rid of that coping mechanism i developed as a kid. Its anxiety invoking to have severe overthinking because our brain goes to the worst outcomes because the worst outcomes will give the worst emotional meltdowns so we wanna be “prepared” even if the outcomes we overthink can be highly unlikely and far fetched.
Bernadette should of said nothing knowing Sheldon doesn’t like change yet again he is spoiled and Amy ever sided with him later on treating him like a child as always Sheldon got his way I blame Bernadette she knows Sheldon doesn’t like change or at least she should yet she said something if she didn’t Leonard would not of lost because there would be nothing to win and Penny is a hypocrite she says Leonard should stand up to Sheldon but she’s mean to him too she didn’t even like the first table he picked the beginning and ending was Bernadette’s fault because she made The group feel guilty and I disagree with Penny it shouldn’t be over Leonard should have stood his ground and stayed not given in to Sheldon’s needs but why did Howard feel bad so easily for Sheldon? That seemed out of character And I felt bad for Raj he always sets on the floor he should have gotten a chain from the other table when he went back to the place they usually talk and eat Amy and Sheldon were bad here why people hate Leonard in this episode I will never know
My take-away when I first saw this episode was that their common area was big enough for a 3- or 4-bedroom apartment, and downright massive for a 2-bedroom.
Sheldon may not like the table, but I think it's okay. However, I don't like where they put it. They should've just put it in the kitchen right where the counter is.
Couple of things here. #1, I guess we're just going to blow off the fact that when Leonard moved in all the furniture they had were lawn chairs and #2, I can halfway relate to Sheldon here. I have both a dining room and kitchen table and rarely use both.
Samwise is the best of the two. Frodo would have died a dozen times without Sam. Actually, now that I think about it, there's an interesting comparison between both friendships
Let’s be real if it wasn’t for Leonard Sheldon would have no friends, definitely no girl, absolutely no one in his life except his mom and meemaw. He would realistically grow old and pass away alone, I no that sounds harsh, but if Leonard didn’t move in he’d have nothing, no one would put up with him, I get it we like the show and like Sheldon, but imagine him in real life, you wouldn’t stick around either.. moral is, don’t be like Sheldon, don’t die alone.
A pointless episode, imo. Another episode in a long line of episodes where Sheldon gets his way and experiences no character growth. Amy is useless in this episode as well and just blindly sticks by him even though he's being childish and unreasonable. It's ridiculous that Sheldon's character didn't really start to have grown until after Any left him. That was nine seasons.
This whole episode I was yelling at the screen for them to all sit at the table. I'm actually autistic and you wanna know what my mum would have done if she got a new table and I refused to sit at it? She'd let me sit by myself and sulk. And that's what they should have done. Also, hahahaha casual rascism
THANK YOU!!! I hate when Sheldon fans make excuses for him by saying he’s autistic. Autism is no excuse for Sheldon behavior. Fact is he’s an ass and demands he win or else he destroys his friends lives.

Ironic that Penny told Leonard not to allow Sheldon to boss him around but then she did the same thing essentially - not exactly bossed him around but Leonard only chose the dining table because Penny liked it and was happy not because he liked it.
Leonard is a pu××y...since episode 1
Before people say it’s his autism let me just say I’m on the high end of the spectrum, and I’ve graduated high school, am majoring in welding and automotive technology, was in ROTC, pay taxes, work a job, own a business, and drive and maintain a car at 19 so not all of us are like this, I do mind change sometimes but I keep it to myself for the most part, because I don’t want to upset my friends and family. Their happiness matters a lot to me. I still have a lot of autistic quirks but I’ve learned to live with them and control them.
Speaking as a fellow autistic nice
I'm also on the high functioning end of the spectrum. I managed to serve in the Air Force and got a college degree. My friends accept me as I am, and understand when I need to withdraw for a day or two.
Not everyone with autism is the same. You can still be an inconsiderate person even with severe autism which Sheldon definitely isn't considerate
It's annoying how easy they give in to him
I'd love to wipe that smirk off Sheldon's face. Is it written into Jim Parson's contract that Sheldon always wins?
Here it is again 4:19
And again 4:19
And again 4:19 😊
I get so sick and tired that they all let Sheldon have his way every time. It’s so annoying!!
Sam is the best hobbit.
Clearly Frodo
@@p.n.r8511 Frodo chose to believe a totally-not-suspicious Gollum over someone who watched him over the entire trek...if it wasn't for Sam then Frodo should've been spider food
@manf1sh995 Movie-Frodo, yes, but not book-Frodo.
As long as he and Frodo are the only two.
BIG EVIL BABY..... LMAO
2:28 "Stuck with Samwise Gamgee" Excuse me, "stuck with"? Sam is the best character, Frodo wouldn't have made it with Sam.
To be fair the idea of a regular dining table in this show sounds just criminal 😂
Any episode sheldon wins is not a good one
In all the years they dined at Leonard and Sheldon's apartment, Raj never thought to take Leonard's chair at his desk and sit on it. He sat on the floor because he wanted 😂
0:42 waaaa I don’t want a table
Actually as the series wore on, the Leonard Penny dynamic actually grew more toxic .
They were constantly putting each other down 👎 and in all likelihood Penny actually turned out more mean than Loveable. As for Leonard he came off looking like a wuss .
It's sad that the show could have actually done a lot more with Leonard and Penny in their own spinoff series with Bernadette and Howard and Raj .
Sheldon is unrealistically spoiled and entitled..
at the end it’s like they decided to become total idiots by going back to the front.
Sheldon wasa real ass in this
episode
This is a prime example of why he sucks.
Nailed it.
This is a prime example of why the big bang theory never should've been made in the first place
dude, Samwise over Frodo anytime
Sometimes sheldons toxic behavior is not even funny, its just sad
Stop insulting vool things, Penny! Leonard can be a Hobbit!
After watching Young Sheldon, we realize so much is Sheldon’s trauma from his dad dying
Let him eat where he likes. And why must they all sit together ? Children, in so many ways .
Excuse me, Leonard, but Samwise wouldn’t have you as his favorite hobbit either
Samwise is a great character.
Raj and Lenard were the victims in this episode and made this one of the worst episodes
Leonard makes every episode he's in terrible.
Personally, i think Sam was the true hero of the book... just my opinion
Sometimes the baby wins was so adorable the way he said it
Although i understand its difficult living with a person on the autism spectrum, it is harder for the person who has the autism.
That seemed out of character And I felt bad for Raj he always sets on the floor he should have gotten a chain from the other table when he went back to the place they usually talk and eat Amy and Sheldon were bad here why people hate Leonard in this episode I will never know
People keep saying that Sheldon always gets his way but I can't think of one example were that was truly the case.
That’s how it’s written, you need to distinguish between reality and make believe.
Same with me
@@EgoHead710 then you clearly haven’t watched the show or even this clip.
Just stop
Leonard need to take a chill pill😂😂😂😂 03:42
I get it sheldon, I've lived on my own three years and still don't have an intention of buying a dinner table.
I mean the roommate agreement screws Leonard always and benefits Sheldon 😂😂
To be fair. Samwise is the objectively correct answer
My take-away when I first saw this episode was that their common area was big enough for a 3- or 4-bedroom apartment, and downright massive for a 2-bedroom.
having a favorite hobbit is not bad, some person have favorite artist, favorite Kardashians, why not hobbits?
Because Lord of the Rings are for nerds
@@whocares4598Your point being?
@@marcomosges4255 Lord of the rings is overrated crap
Ok no one's favorite hobbit should be Frodo, it's Samwise Gamgee or no one else lol
"So long and thanks for the fish!"
Sheldon may not like the table, but I think it's okay. However, I don't like where they put it. They should've just put it in the kitchen right where the counter is.
Sheldon loves to get this baby treatment
3:40 i was your fucking idea in the first place
Penny is being bossy to lenord
*Stuck* with Samwise Gamgee? He's the best character in the whole trilogy!
often wonder who wrote Sheldon's lines.
Windows 98 was one of my favorite OS's.
Mine too, I had the old WHEEL OF FORTUNE computer 🖥 game 🎮 on '98
Raj makes a good point, he sat on the floor for years and no one said anything yet when penny sat down for 10 seconds then they finally say something
I don’t want a friend like Sheldon.
Leonard was an adult and he could move out msny, many, many times
Sheldon simply DOESN'T LIKE CHANGES
Not that I agree with Sheldon's behavior, but I prefer eating with friends on a couch over a dining room table any day of the week.
This entire moment really upset me. I was hoping this would end as a change Sheldon finally didn't get his way with and actually had to deal with it
This whole episode I was yelling at the screen for them to all sit at the table.
