Thanks for the update and footage showing the changes to the landscape. Great to see the new infrastructure that has been built to replace the old roads that will now be underwater. It's also important to remember the positives that will also come out of the construction of Site C, as well as the negatives. Large infrastructure projects always have their positives and negatives. It's an incredible project. The reality is, if we are going to continue to push for electrification, clean energy sources and a lower carbon footprint, it's well past time to identify and begin building Sites D, E and F!

I remember a time when you quoted something, that was the quote. Possibly 10% for unseeables but that was the price. I’m sure it’s hard to predict the difference in product costs on quote day to the cost of steel 6 years out though. Especially when our government is trying to squeeze us dry.

With the farmland lost through flooding at Site C, hopefully there is now a chance that the about 20 000 acres of number 1 and number 2 soil in TWO RIVER area will be saved and brought back to grain farming use again, which is now at the verge of growing back to bush land.

Thank you for posting this. I appreciate that you were able to compose a video that made your feelings clear while also attributing some of the positive aspects of the Dam.
Having grown up in coastal BC over the last decade I've been hearing about this dam thing for a while, I'm glad to be able to put some visuals to the idea.

Your commentary on this well produced video simply repeats all of the same talking points we have heard for years now. Yes it’s true the BC Peace River area has some of the most fertile soils in BC but the areas of farm land flooded by site C are very insignificant in that picture. The idea I want for this project to further is if Site C is environmentally detrimental to the point of costing more damage than benefit produced, does nuclear energy become a better overall source of base load electricity to power our economy for its increased need for electricity 20,50,100 years in our future?

You do realize that none of the power or funds goes to bc or canada? It all goes out of country, at our expense, with nothing gained for us Canadians, besides the loss of 1/5th of the farmland in BC. It is a corporate oligarchy disgrace, sold out by our fake traitorous governments that are actually corporations pretending to be government.. We are letting foreign corporations pilfer our resources. Wake up and smell the treason...

There is more to the issue than is spoken here. I do appreciate the somewhat balanced reporting, but.. Reservoir production of methane and methylmercury are significant and long lasting affects. Fish migration, aquatic life and land based wildlife also is altered. Transmission and use of this power is a very significant issue. For example; exportation of liquid natural gas has caused first nations much grief and both massively expands Canada's carbon footprint and takes a resource out of the range of domestic use.

This dam, when compared to 5 other mega dam projects world wide, is a joke! When compared to dams in Pakistan, China, Venezuela, cost almost double. $5B as opposed to the enormous $12B!!Those other dams will be producing 4-5 times more electricity. 5GW compared to the pitiful 1.1GW of Site C!!! The number of homes that will be served by Site C is 450,000 homes. Doing the math, that an expenditure of $24,000/ person being spent on this abomination!!!
