This feels like an old school children’s book and the narration is so soothing, I absolutely love it
This was giving me the new Mario movie and Epithet Erased vibes!
This Peach feels a lot closer to what Peach is in the games than in the movie, but she also fits in as a strong female character with her own strengths, much like what the movie wanted to do.

i love how Mario is portrayed here, he has such a deep sense of integrity and bravery. Haven't watched the other parts yet but this makes me so excited to see the rest.
I always found it very funny, how the older brother is the shorter of the two (unlike what one would expect), but he is the braver and more adventurous, while the older brother is the taller but the more cowardly, fearful and perhaps the most affectionate of the two... also, I like how they take the classic formula of: brave, determined and loving older brother and fearful younger brother but always with a good heart.

It's crazy how many things in this comic have similarities in the Mario Movie! Mario, gets hired separated from luigi and having Toad as a companion!
The line : “In the far off land of Brooklyn, New york!” Is oddly funny to me
This is absolutely amazing! The characters here have so much personality compared to what we see in the main series titles, and the charming children's book vibes are super strong here. References are hiding in almost every nook and cranny, from the cape Bowser used to wear in the old SMB3 artwork, the familiar "spooky old building", the ending shot literally being one big reference to the Japanese anime film, to literally everything in Toad's shop (which includes the Odyssey hats, that themselves _already_ reference older Mario media). The writing is also fantastic, it really reminds me of Paper Mario and it's super impressive how DogmanSP manages to take the tale everyone is already familiar with, and retell it with a whimsical flair that gives me the same feeling I get playing Mario's best games, and that's the highest praise you can give a Mario fan work! The comic is just oozing with wholesomeness, which is a nice breath of fresh air in a world where "Mario bad. Luigi victim" videos seem to rule. If this chapter was a love letter to the Mario franchise as a whole, then the full thing must be a marriage proposal. And with a proposal like this, you've got be cuckoo crazy to say no! But enough about the comic itself, because I haven't even gushed about the actual dub! The way that this was edited really brings the art to life, the music choices were perfect, and the voices are so spot on. Bowser here sounds like the perfect blend of Kenny James and Scott Burns. But my favorite performance has to be ItsameWario as Super Mario himself. Mario talking in full sentences is a rarity, and whenever he does, it's usually promoting a thing or speaking to children, where he has to keep that happy tone, while here, Mario can express anger, confusion, or panic. I _really_ hope that this comic and this channel gets the praise and recognition it truly deserves, because in my humble opinion, it doesn't have enough.

When we first started this, we wanted to capture the pure, raw essence of that same rush of imagination that courses through one’s being
Most people whom I’ve seen stumble upon this comic were just as supportive, and we’ve continued to build up on a slow burn ever since this was released 20 or so days ago. But to gain the respect of a fan as seemingly dedicated (and tasteful) as you is nothing short of a true compliment to our work, and DogmanSP’s, and having recently brought him aboard on this little journey of ours has brought out emotions that I can’t explain...
I can’t express how this project has breached feelings that I haven’t felt in years. It’s a blessing to be a part of something this special.
This is only the beginning of the journey and I already feel as though a portion of my life has changed.
This, in extreme terms, is a magnum opus,
And we hope you’ll join us as we take you through this beast of a story.

I know that Illumination is making an official Mario movie, but given the fact that it's Illumination, I don't think it will be nearly as good as this video.

My gosh, this is literally a perfect characterization of the world of Mario! So much insane homage is paid to Mario media from across the generations, uniting virtually everything from the mainline games to the 90’s show to the RPG games into one coherent plot. This is 100% everything I would hope to see for the upcoming official animated movie as far as plot and characterization goes. Well done to everyone involved in this!!!
God damn it, this is great. Now I have spoiled myself, because I have a feeling that the Mario Movie won't live up to this. Like, everything here is so good! Everything from the writing, to the artstyle, to the references to the games are giving me a massive smile on my face!

I kinda want this to be the plot of the super mario movie
The narrator and the art makes it seem likes a children's story based of the game and I'm in love I will def show my kids when I have them ❤️
Now this is a Mario movie.
this is just beautiful. This gives off that sense of child-like whimsicality to it that doesn't go away no matter how old you are. And I've never seen this before now, so I'm not even sure if that's true! But with this tone that's like someone reading a kid a fun story, I wouldn't describe it any other way. Definitely gonna be keeping up with this.

This is a brilliant dub of a brilliant work, and it feels just like the dub of a children’s book like how the comic feels like a children’s book itself!
Seriously, the way the art is animated, the way it’s acted, the music adding that extra touch, LUIGI WHISTLING THE LUIGIS MANSION THEME-

(in fact, it seems that they have taken some elements from this fan comic) and in general, I love this rather refreshing version of the original Mario story, the references, the explanations of some facts, everything here is very well done, especially the art and voices A great job

This is absolutely incredible!!! This is what I expect the Mario Movie to be like! Whoever did Mario nailed the martinet voice! And the new spin on peach is so unique, the way the vc expresses emotions in Peach’s voice is so much better than what we have in canon. I love this so much, great job to everyone involved in this!

I knew it was gonna happen, but as soon as Bowser snatches Peach I yelled "You mf!" I was so invested in this story book style film
I think iit has something to do with his initial motivation being resources of another kingdom which *then* switches to kidnapping Peach, when we're so used to the idea of Bowser kidnapping Peach "just because" whether therey knew eachother prior or not. this artist knows how to make a good set up and I'm excited to read more (on chapter 5 as of writing this).
Bowser is the onceler from the lorax movie after he runs out of trees to cut.

I’m not gonna lie to anyone this is literally what happens in the Mario movie but it’s more detailed and flushed out in a more comic like way. But more than anything it literally goes down a similar path to the video games while also bits and pieces of the movie. Similarities are crazy.

Oh my god I'm in love with this. This is what I think of a Super Mario show should be, and I'm as entertained as I'd ever be! The art, the voice acting, the narration, it's just so so so so so damn amazing!!! Here's to hoping Luigi gets screen time in the second chapter!

This is adorable!! I love the look at the lore of the original game, as well as a reference to the brothers being from Brooklyn and whatnot. The voices are a blast and the sound editing combined with the art / video editing is so great. Keep it up y'all!!
