As an Irish person, I’m 28…we’ve never been Eurovision relevant in my life. I’m so hyped. We went bold as opposed to our norm and ITS SO GOOD
Not my type of song, but I really appreciate the performance, staging, costume/makeup, attention to detail, camera work. For me, the decent ballet technique was a cherry on top. You can see how much thought was put into every part of this performance

Our beloved witch delivered without exaggeration the best Eurovision performance in history - Bambie, every Goth and alternative soul in the world is insanely proud of you and you're the most heartwarming voice I could ever imagine to represent us! 🇮🇪🧙♀️👑🖤 This boundary-breaking show is theatrical extravaganza, a storytelling experience in 3 minutes, a trance-like journey that casts a spell over the viewer just like Bambie is evoking enchantment on stage - and on top of that they are a once-in-a-lifetime performer, "Doomsday Blue" is an addictively refreshing song without any limits, and we get to see a staging that doesn't only captivate the dark souls who feel drawn to witchcraft anyway, but also the masses who have no choice but crowning the witch! Bambie is not only an artist who renders me speechless on a daily basis and is my biggest inspiration these days, but also an addictively charming human being who can make countless hearts jump for joy with their infectious smile. This is a performance that will be eternally engraved in the history books, and I will rewatch it over and over again until my last breath on earth!🖤✨️🌙
What is haunting me at night and day is that this easily exceeds everything people considered a Eurovision performance before - Bambie is setting new standards that will change Eurovision for decades to come. Of course "Doomsday Blue" works as a song and is travelling through an insane amount of genres and Bambie's vocals are on point no matter if they're dancing ballet or defeating the toxic boyfriend with an inferno of screams and in the middle of a firestorm, but the one aspect that makes me crazy in the most positive way is that this show has cinematic qualities and almost feels like a movie! While other contestants are satisfied with simply singing a song or repeating the same dance breaks over and over again, Bambie is combining all existing types of art to create a mesmerizing mélange of genreless dark art, theatrical drama, elegiac dance and visual grandeur... If someone would have told me before, I wouldn't have believed that such a performance is even possible. But what becomes clear is that you just need the right creative people in the right place to make history! I have never seen something like this before: Bambie will rise from an independent artist to a world star.😍 And I couldn't be happier because we share the same dreams and values! I definitely won't take any rest until the witch is crowned!🇮🇪🧙♀️👑🖤🌙

Bambie was training to become a ballerina when young but unfortunately broke their arm and couldn't continue, so they went on to study theatrical performance and then became a singer/songwriter

@@YourCacnea Of course not. I love music but that kind of shouty rap style wouldn't be something I would call music. Admittedly the generation of earlier times didnt like our music either. But I enjoyed this. I think she's great.

I,m Irish and thought Bambi's performance would be liked or hated , glad to see she got throu, keeps the fun in the competition, depends now around Europe if the song and story catches on , the Irish Morgana ref was cool
I truly think Ireland probably came in second after Croatia last night. Based on the crowd reaction when they were called and based on the views on the YT performances today. You guys can be proud. This was performance art, and it'll be one of those performances people go back to and revisit for years.

Don't forget, if ireland wins it prevents Sweden getting cocky as they are sooooooo full of themselves in eurovision (the jury and broadcaster that is in sweden). So denying them the record is good for esc haha. Ireland is more humble about their record

They may have some Swedish in them but there representing Ireland in more ways than one soo no they can’t share 😅 and yes the bragging was annoying to the Brit over here too… like your not the only country to have had a dominant spell ya know… both uk and Ireland between us practically owned the 80s 😅 and Ireland was with the same guy too (three times if you include writing credits) and did you hear us bragging about that last year? No we just showed off the diverse music scene that made Liverpool the British music capital for a long time and also shone a light on Ukraine (as we should, it was there win afterall) no bragging about our past victories at all.
If this was a USA show, the uptight people would be complaining. Our country is so far behind Europe.

They absolutely bought me with this staging & performance.. like, wow.. I liked parts of the song before (funnily enough the end) but I wasn't crazy about the song as a whole. However, with the right staging it all just comes together so well. It jumped up on my list instantly. Absolutely loved it, I have to say.
I always thought it was fairly good but nothing that special... but this STAGING. I CANNOT DESCRIBE IT. IT IS INCREDIBLE. No other words necessary.

The vocals are defintely not the strongest but a great perfomance. I think it works because its not just spooky but this kind of love dance humanizes them in a way.

I don't know if I am ready to watch this again is my reaction I well . I mean , I am a witch lover at my soul, but this is not an easy entry to absorb , it makes you feel a lot of things and then you have to intelectualize a lot of the meaning and symbolism in order to give it justice artisticaly . But is a performace that forces you to be in your head in order not feel uncomfortable going to stick with people and make them vote en mase over another one that just gets the point across ? I don't think și.

I recommend you watch it again and look at the lyrics. I wasn't sure about it when I saw them 1st in Ireland but it's really grown on me the more I hear it 😊
